So I grabbed this awhile back and held onto it, deciding what to use it for. I opted for a storage crate for my mason jars and lids. This is not as easy to assemble as some crates, but It holds together well and I like the tray/lid on the top. A nice, simple way to store whatever you need.

This storage box is made of real wood. The wood material is some kind of of softwood (pine wood?) because it is very easy for me to drive the screws in it. One of the beams already has a crack upon arrival, as seen in my first picture. The package includes all the wood panels, a plastic tray, 5 long screws, 9 short screws and a assembly instruction booklet. The instructions are easy to understand. However, it was a bit difficult to tighten up the 8 short screws inside the crate because there were not much room to manipulate the screwdriver. If you have a right angle drill driver, then the assembly job might be a breeze.When I finished putting all the pieces together, this wood box looked quite nice. It has two pre-cut slots on the sides for using as handles. The plastic tray is super light and I don’t need it for my application. I place this wood box right next to my computer desk as a trash can stand and it does a good job to elevate my 7-gallon trash can.I am taking one star off for the little quality issues of the material and the difficulty degree of assembly.

I am very disappointed by this product. The only reason why I gave it 3 stars is because I found a way to make it work. For it to get 5 stars, it would need to be fully assembled as such a simple item, have accurate holes for installing the screws that connect one another, and have even wood cuts. If you take a look at the photos, the pieces are not aligned with one another, whereas the other side looks great! It's not even. Similar to the holes for the screws that connect each piece.... they're super tiny and aren't all even with one another. This whole assembly process was so diffcult that I needed to "phone a friend" and ask someone else to help me hold the pieces together while trying to "make it work" with the uneven pieces and misaligned holes. The reason why I didn't give less than 3 stars is because the basin itself is so cool! It came in somewhat of a half size. Upon opening, you push out the bottom and it extends fully.... almost like one of those portable laundry baskets in which you'd see. It's easy to clean as well and super portable.

I wanted this storage crate because we need some storage for items in the house. It was easy to put together- but you need a screwdriver to do it. However, it went together without any issue- with photo instructions included if you need them (my husband made sure to tell me there were no words with the instructions).One thing I want others to know- which was a little disappointing- is that the internal white storage that you see in the photo- is in no way as deep as I thought it would be (especially since there are bottles in it in the Amazon ad photo). My husband can put his hand in that break after the first piece of wood at the top (between the first and second board from the top)- and he says the internal white storage bin is about a quarter of an inch deeper than where his hand reaches. He estimates the internal white storage bin is about 3 inches deep. However, what became cool about that was you could store things in the white internal bin and then other things underneath it.One thing I want to tell those who order this item- when it all comes, since it is not put together and everything is lying flat- it looks like there isn't much there.The internal storage bin, too, actually folds inside itself (like those cups that fold out with four or five pieces and you can collapse to be the size of a tin for each storage and transport)- the storage bin collapses inside itself. So when I first looked at it I was like- "this thing isn't deep at all!" It was when we noticed that it was in its collapsed state- and it got bigger when we made it whole- but not all as much as I thought- certainly not at all as deep as the entire wood crate.I just didn't want other people who ordered this item to get worried as I did- when I first saw the whole thing (in the state before it was put together and made whole).The wood of the crate is smooth-sanded but unstained- Not exactly the item I imagined it would be- it turned out to be a great item-If anyone has any questions about this crate, please feel free to reach out and ask.Thank you

I got this to use at a birthday party. I had planned to paint the unfinished wood to match the theme. However, once it arrived, the inner container is tiny and not able to hold bottles as pictured.

Wood was real pine and thick and sturdy. But it was an assembly project and no parts were sent with it so I can't put together at the moment. I'll have to find some screws to put together.

I like the simple clean look of this storage crate. Wood is pine and arrived in good shape with no damage or splinters. Visible screw holes are countersunk so provided screws sit flush, however interior holes while tapped, may not line up perfectly with mating piece. This may be because the parts have to be mated with the parts they were originally tapped with. This means that the parts should be labeled so you don't inadvertently mate the wrong parts together and hence the holes don't line up perfectly. For this issue, I deducted one star. Also, I found it interesting that the pictures on the website show the handle piece installed upside down, however the instruction sheet, was correct on the orientation of the pieces so that the handle is on top. I personally don't really understand the benefit of the tray. I guess it depends what you end up storing in the crate and whether there are small parts associated with it. I think it is likely that this piece will end up being extraneous. Overall though, I really like the crate.
