Really amazing
This is really an amazing controller. The thumbsticks are better than my Xbox elite II controller. My wife really likes hers, but couldn't get used to the paddles. We had a lot of problems connecting until we realized we had it on the wrong setting (had it on bluetooth rather than the dongle connection, but it would still connect sometimes, which is why it took so long to figure out). If you upgrade the firmware, READ THE LAST BIT OF THE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST. I was concerned I had bricked it because I didn't extract the zip file before copying to the controller.

Solid but Caveats
The controller is decent. It feels good in the hand, has a nice array of features. It has Hall effect sticks (I am at the point where a controller absolutely will not be considered without those: banish drift!).It looks nice, and comes with some neat extras. The caveats: there is no app to configure the 4 back paddles, and they do not show up to the OS in Windows or Steam. So they cannot be re-mapped to anything but buttons on the device (via a config button combo). This is ... less than ideal. I usually remap the back paddles to something on the keyboard, not just a duplicate controller button. While we're at it: since there is no app, everything that is configurable on the device is done via magic button combos: don't lose the manual. And the real gotcha: for whatever reason the device ships as an XBOX style controller, but with A/B and X/Y button labels swapped. That is wrong to me, so I decided to swap them. It comes with what I *thought* was an extra set of buttons. It does not. It turns out, if you want to use the standard XBOX layout, you *need* to use the extra set, not the shipped and installed set (they are slightly differently shaped to deal with the curve of the controller). This is not mentioned anywhere in the manual. Guess what? I did not use the extra set when I swapped them. The controller comes with a handy button puller, but ... it cannot remove the pre-installed A button if you swap it from its shipped position on the right into the standard position position on the bottom. The button goes in the slot fine, but it becomes too deeply recessed to ever get purchase on it to pull it back out. And the button obviously doesn't go there once you make this mistake: it is too deeply recessed and does not work well at all. But you are never getting it back out without real damage to the button.A shame.

Do not buy this controller, shouldn’t have come out yet
The KK2 was great but this missed the mark. The left trigger broke after only 2 months of use. After explaining the issue to support they sent me a replacement trigger. No instructions were given or video linked. I’ve modded laptops before can’t be that hard.Replaced the trigger and now I have constant input from that trigger, as well as my right joystick when pressing the trigger. It also has a very different input curve from the right trigger. It’s very sharp and instant instead of being gradual.I’d only buy from GK again if I found $70 on the sidewalk.

I honestly couldn't ask for more
The only thing I wish they would change is being able to put the controller in the case with the back grip buttons still on. But otherwise I couldn't ask for more from a controller. It's really nice and absolutely worth it.A small idea is that I would have the back grip buttons mimic what the steam deck has, or something to the same effect where you could bind individual actions. But I know that would take a lot of work. Still, great product guys!!!

Almost Perfect
The KK2 was almost perfect, all it needed was paddle buttons on the back and wireless charging (some would say swapable sticks too but I don't care about that). The KK3 adds the paddles, all it needs now is wireless charging at it will be a perfect controller. 100% worth picking up if you are considering a pro style controller for the switch.

Good game controller with minor problems
This is a good game controller that functions as a third-party alternative to Nintendo's Pro controller, Xbox controller, & Android generic controller, but it could be better. The key selling points are the magnetic Hall sensors that work well for the 2 thumbsticks & 2 triggers --- so smooth. The 2 thumbsticks could be easily pulled off & re-attached. This allows you to install rubber covers &/or longer/shorter thumbsticks. The face buttons (A, B, X, & Y) & direction pad work well. The previous generation controllers had a small but significant number of controllers that had problems with face buttons that could become temporarily stuck in the pressed down position. The gyroscope motion control is better or less buggy than the gyroscope motion control on the Playstation DualShock 4 (which frequently needs calibration) or some other third-party game controllers. The 4 bottom-side buttons work well. However, the paddles that attach to the buttons are made of metal, while the buttons are made of plastic. The buttons should be made of metal for better durability. My game controller came with a protective plastic cover. However, the protective plastic cover is too small for the game controller when the game controller has modifications attached to the 2 thumbsticks (e.g., rubber grips &/or taller/shorter thumbsticks) &/or paddles attached to any of the 4 bottom-side buttons. The game controller should have more colors: yellow or gold, green, red, pink, blue, etc. Merely having black, light grey with retro Nintendo themes, & white is too boring & plain. The game controller has LED lights for the 2 thumbsticks' circular bases & topside logo, but the LED lights have only 1 setting (blue color LEDs for normal operation, & orange color logo during battery recharge). The LEDs should have options for a lot more colors (e.g., off, white, gray, purple, blue, teal, green, yellow, orange, brown, pink, red). The biggest problem with the GuliKit KK3 Max controller is its software compatibility with Valve company's Steam game management app. The game controller is sometimes completely ignored by Steam, or the game controller has buggy functions with Steam. Thus I need to turn off & on the game controller to re-establish a normal connection with Steam (wired or wireless connection). This could happen within the Steam app &/or within a game being managed by Steam.I sent an email about some of this information to the GuliKit company's customer service. The customer service replied with an email that basically said the software compatibility problem was caused by the Steam app, thus GuliKit would not try to fix this problem any time soon.
