I purchased this as I always wanted to get into embroidery and figured I'd need a bag to put all my stuff in, so I purchased this. Two birds one stone🤣🤣 On reflection I wouldn't recommend purchasing a bag to start your embroidery experience with, as it's quite fiddly avoiding the handles and finding where to put your needle from the back🤣🤣🤣 Safety pins for the handles do work but there not a fail safe. YouTube, as another reviewer said, is a great source of knowledge for different stitches and how to videos. Especially with French Knots, I really couldn't get my head around them to begin with. I'd also recommend buying a set of threads (Floss). I purchased a great set, with gorgeous colours of floss including some metallic floss, quality snips and a spare needle threader, for under£7. Thank you to a reviewer for showing the bag with purple ribbon 🤗🤗, has you can see I pinched your idea and added purple metallic thread too (from my thread kit) With the thread kit I was able to customise my bag and experiment. I made one flower all French knots just so I got the hang of them as well as completely reworking the roses and played around with some other flowers and the leaves too. I also got rid of the mustard yellow thread as it was just too close to the bags colour. I highly recommended this set but if its your first embroidery kit, just have abit of patience and you'll get there.

This is a lovely bag and embroidery set, all the threads and needles are included. I'm part way through and really enjoying it. The pattern rubs off so you won't be left with visible lines if you don't quite match the pattern. I'm a first time embroiderer and the printed instructions are basic but ok, but I'm finding the written descriptions of the stitches are not all that great, they've clearly been through Google translate, (I would have given it 5 stars otherwise) but I'm using YouTube clips to help. I would still recommend this for a gift or a good starter activity. The written instructions won't be necessary if you know the stitches already.

Very impressed with the kit. Plenty of threads for you to adapt the colours and put your own personal touch to the bag. I used my own purple thread only because.. Well.. Errr.. Who doesn't love a bit of purple? Forget how much I enjoyed embroidery so glad to have purchased this kit and would definitely recommend it to others.

Looks like it will a nice pattern and plenty of threads but as a beginner I wouldn't call these instructions! Very hard to read even with good eye sight. Hard to see which type of stitch should be done where, no suggestion of the order. Poor translation of how to create each type of stitch so I think I'll need to be prepared to Google each stitch type! I'm sure it'll get there in the end though.

I have not started this kit yet but, as a keen stitcher, I thought it would make a great gift for Christmas. The fabric looks good quality and the pattern is clearly marked for the embroidery in easy-to-see colours for the black fabric. I can't wait to start it! My only quibble is that there's no lining for it, to hide the back of the embroidery, but I can easily make that with some spare fabric from my stash.

Fabric has good quality. The result is really nice! Not complicated embroidery.

Sturdy bag with lovely pre printed design. Was expected fabric plus threads and hoop but didn’t realise it was already constructed - just makes using the hoop more difficult. Plus I’ll have more trouble putting in a lining ( to protect the inside stitches . But I still love the design .
