Pricey - but, worth it!
Skeptical - high price for only a quart of this stuff? Well, I "splurged" and decided to buy it. HolySmokes, what a GREAT decision. This is the absolute nicest, most beautiful black coating for your DIY speaker builds or subwoofer repairs. It came with a textured 3" roller. Cheap plastic, but works PERFECTLY. Easy clean up with water from the garden hose. I watched a lot of YouTube videos on "how" to apply this coating -- mostly, wise older guys with experience. VERY helpful. For my two custom DIY made ported 6x9 speaker boxes, used about 1/2 quart (two coats on two speakers). If you are on the fence to buy this (due to the cost) - just buy it. Level sand well, and this will give a professional finish.
This is the easiest personal looking finish I have ever put on a box. Two coats, one was ‘almost’ enough with no primer, if your tight on cash you can probably get away with one coat with a spray can primer coat. I used a da sander to level screw holes I filled with a mix of router saw dust and tight-bond. Covers and sticks to tightbond well. I purchased the tiny can and it did a 24x16x6 box using about 2/3s of the can for 2 heavy coats. After about 3 days in a shop in summer it basically feels like a plastic hard case.

Super Easy To Use. Fast Drying. Easy Cleanup.
I wish I had known about this stuff years ago. Way better than spray paint or speaker fabric. Wondering why all paint doesn't go on this easy, dry as quickly, clean up this easy, and not have toxic fumes. Expensive, but I'm very happy with this purchase.
