I bought this to extend my kayak trolling motor. Quality was better than I expected. I used remaing wire for my car amplifier wiring.

Bought this in order to move the battery on my Pelican Bass Raider from the back to the middle. This is great quality and comes with everything you need. I've had the boat out several times since installation and it's works like a champ.

Wire gauge is plenty to handle the amperage to Newport Vessels trolling motor...purchased to extend the 4-ft cables on a 55 lb thrust Newport Vessels trolling motor, no issues with current or the cables running warm.Only downside is that the POSITIVE lead is too small for the positive battery post on my size 29DC EverStart marine battery. Positive posts are typically larger diameter than the negative. The manufacturer didn't account for this difference, both connectors are the same diameter, so I had to drill out the positive connector lead in order to fit around the positive battery terminal. Not a major issue, but something to be aware of when ordering these extension cables. The 2 cables are also not attached to one another, so plan on zip-tying them together or keeping them coiled up can be an issue.

Thsi extension wire worked excellent for attaching a trolling motor to batteries under boat seat using quick connects.

I bought this cable to go with the trolling motor to extend the wire length. It is real sturdy 8 gauge wire and did exactly what I wanted it to do. Unfortunately I had to send the trolling motor back because it wouldn’t fit my boat. No fault of Newport Vessels, the customer service there is awesome!

This cable set allowed me to place my extremely heavy deep cycle battery in the bow of my 12 foot Pelican Intruder Jon boat. I weigh 260 and distributing the weight allows the boat to perform perfectly. There is no loss of power from battery to trolling motor and they even provide color coded electrical tape to insulate the cable connections. Very pleased with this product.

The Minnkota Battery Box has a larger positive terminal than its negative. If buying this Extension Cable to extend from your Minnkota Battery Box you will have to manipulate the positive side of the cable to fit the battery box. I clipped it with a small pair of clipping pliers from a "O" shape to a "C" shape (see image for details). It worked just fine after that and took less than 5 min to complete.
