Beach Life: Home, Heart & the Sea

I enjoyed a rainy Memorial Day sitting on my covered deck reading this book, taking in the gorgeous photography, and dreaming of trips to the beach. The pictures and houses are gorgeous and designed perfectly. I can see myself living in all of them - they are so well thought out and dreamy. And I loved the stories and information Lauren shares throughout the book. Picked up some good ideas and things to consider when decorating my own home. This book transported me to my family trips to the OBX and other beach towns and made me smile. This is for sure a keeper and a book that I'm sure I'll come back to over and over again.

I saw this book in a store but was totally wrapped in shrink wrap so. Went home and ordered from Amazon. Love this book. Great photography interspersed with lovely narrative about the beach. I could identify with so many of her thoughts and her feelings about thebeach. Mentions beaches in NC that i love as well! I plan to give as gifts as well.

Huge fan of Lauren Liess. She is a design visionary, using products that are durable and functionable, while being beautiful. I read the book cover to cover, pouring over the beautiful photographs. I really enjoyed that she shared her design thought processes, her story, her truths, meaningful quotes and insightful ideas. Loved the book!

I thought this would be a "coffee table" book and the photos make it worthy of this, BUT IT'S SO MUCH MORE! What a lovely, well-written journey to the ocean, beach and the soul! Lauren captures the "pull" of living near the ocean and the beauty of living simply. I bought this for a friend -- and then bought one for myself. I'm taking my time reading it because I don't want it to end! The book itself is gorgeous: well-constructed with photos that sing!

I bought this book after seeing it advertised on a random blog. I'd say initially I was underwhelmed by the photos until I actually read all the text and the stories behind the photographs. It's a cute book, and I pick it up from time to time to just thumb thru.

Bought this because I follow the author's you tube channel and admire her work. We share a deep love of the North Carolina Outer Banks so I thought the book would help me as I wait for my next trip. Was pleasantly surprised at the moving writing that weaves the lovely photos together. Planning to gift copies to my fellow OBX friends.
