Kill Bill Vol. 1

Everyone who knows Tarantino and his films knows that he always accompanies his masterpieces with an amazing selection of songs. They always seem so perfectly chosen with such precision. Reservoir Dogs, amazing soundtrack. Pulp Fiction, amazing soundtrack. Jackie Brown, amazing soundtrack (you get the picture). Kill Bill is no exception to this pattern as I think it's the most brilliant of his soundtracks. Every song is so well chosen and when you step back and look at it they're sometimes so odd but fit perfect like Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood, by Santa Esmerelda, which is a disco cover of a Nina Simone song?? It's so crazy and you think it would work but does! Only Tarantino could do it!

This is a black or white piece of music. You either like it or you don't. And that's because it is so new and fresh and still looking to set its roots in popular acceptance. It's the Tarantino way of creating ambience. It's not a new style of music, nor is it a reinvention of the wheel. It's just a fresh way of assembling various gems from underrated and overlooked types of music, reinvigorating them by applying them onto a super-cool outtake, complementing them by pitching them against each other in order to bring out their hidden qualities... and there you have it: a soundtrack that echoes Tarantino from the strike of the first note. Cool and refreshing!

I had a phase of buying the soundtracks to all my favourite tarantino films. This is probably the weakest in terms of the score itself but still a very strong record and good listening.I paid £13.78 on Amazon which is about average for this record according to other sources. This is a typical Quentin Tarantino film, a great film although not his best. Kill Bill Vol. 2 was better. Some would agree with that statement and some would disagree but opinions will always be just that, opinions and we all know what Clint Eastwoods' character Dirty Harry says about opinions.

Brings you to tears, then slaps you in the face, throws you on the floor, then re-invents eye of the tiger, etc etc. Bloody brilliant album costing me about 200p. and The flower of carnage is translated inside the cover. Just bought the second to keep it company

Llego bien y en buen estado. La calidad de la música es sublime. A pesar de 20 años que salió este soundtrack. Sigue con la misma escencia.
