Flavorful aroma. Good introduction of green tea for anyone interested in green teas with less bitterness in aftertaste.

The combination of toasted rice and green tea was new to me. I found the tea to be delicious, the aroma was pleasant and it's worth trying.

Ippodo is the premier tea house/tea producer of Kyoto, Japan. I was born and raised in Japan so I know that this is a superb brand. Give it a try. And please..... don't put sweeteners in Japanese tea!!!

I first tried ippodo's genmaicha back in 2016 and back then it had a fantastic and very strong rice flavor. Used to be very hard to find in the states and I only got it on vacations in Japan. Nowadays the flavor is barely there even though I prepared it the same way. Same goes for the tea itself... Don't know what happened but their product quality has gone down!!
