Good info but missing referred to chart
Good information, especially the recipes. However, the hair chart referred to in Chapter two is missing so I had no visible reference (I'm using a 5th generation Kindle Fire). I would really love to see the chart so that those paragraphs can have meaning. There are words missing in a few sentences throughout the book. Pros of book: detailed recipes, hair care tips Cons: missing an important chart referred to in the text, not as much info on curl definition as you would expect from a book named The Curly Hair Handbook

Extremely helpful and useful info here
Extremely helpful and useful info here. I found it very clear and easy to read although there were a few minor details I felt were missing. I have already been recommending this book to others. This book definitely taught me something.

Informative
This book had information on the variety of natural curly hair that exist. The extra bonus to reading this book was all the recipes for making your own homemade hair products.

Great list of recipes. Quick read.
Finished the book quickly. The author did well by jumping into the recipes at just the right time.I already had ideas in mind for the type of recipes I was considering, but this book helps me plan them better with the ingredients I plan on using.

A Valuable Handbook on How to Take Care of Your Curly Hair at Home
Everyone wants to look their best when they step out of the house and this book details how to make your hair look incredible without the inconvenience and cost of going to a salon. Going natural is growing more popular—and why not? It looks great! I don’t have curly hair (it’s boring and stick-straight!), but I was interested in how ladies lucky enough to be gifted with hair with body maintain a great look. For example, I never realized what women with kinky hair would go through to get it straight. And why, when it looks better natural? Plus, the section about homemade haircare was excellent and I got a lot of cool tips to use, too. Although my hair is straight, it tends to be frizzy and dry on the ends (coloring my gray has damaged it). I’ve discovered coconut oil is the world’s superfood product. It’s great for diet, skin, and now hair. I’m also big into essential oils—using coconut oil as a carrier, I love using peppermint (which also adds a nice tingling sensation) or rosemary (which will also aid in hair growth). This is a wonderful read for all hair types, in my opinion. Very well-researched. Recommended.
