Worth Every Penny
Having had the Tiffen82mm Glimmer Glass 1 Filter in my kit for a few weeks now, I'm kicking myself for not getting it sooner. This isn't just a filter - it's like adding a secret sauce to your photography. It doesn't give a "filtered" look, but subtly enhances images by softening sharp details and adding a nice glow. It's surprisingly versatile, from portrait sessions that leave clients marveling at their skin to capturing landscapes with a touch of dreaminess. It's also stood up to real-world use quite well. It's already been through a couple of accidental drops and hectic outdoor shoots, but it's holding up like a champ. And, for those wondering, the build quality is typical Tiffen - sturdy and reliable. Bottom line, the Tiffen82mm Glimmer Glass 1 Filter is a fantastic investment for any photographer or videographer looking to add a touch of magic to their work. Highly recommended!

Incredible Filter! Lives on my camera, and it's better than Black Pro Mist for my taste.
I absolutely love this filter! It stays on my Fuji X100VI 100% of the time. It's very subtle and not at all distracting when shooting portraits of people, and provides a beautiful soft diffusion on any light source. Especially perfect for shots at night for any lit-up signs, streetlights, etc. Super happy with the purchase! For what it's worth: I've also used Tiffen's Black Pro Mist filter (their 1/8 is the closest equivalent to this product), and while I like the BPM, I definitely prefer this Glimmerglass over the BPM because the Glimmerglass produces even better overall results for my liking. Go for it!

Different personality than the black promist- in a good way!
Loving the bloom on lights and subjects, and definitely has a more aggressive softening of the overall photo. Black pro mist has the light bloom, but this glimmerglass adds the fx over everything instead of just the lights. For my taste, I love this because it does part of my post-processing (softening) job during the snap. Fun filter to have if you want something dreamy!

A solid alternative to Black Mist - but do your research and decide for yourself
I absolutely love using this filter on my Fuji X100VI! When paired with Reggie's Portra film, it transforms even the simplest shots into something truly wistful and beautiful. What I really appreciate is that, as a filter, it provides not only dust and lens protection but also that lovely, subtle halo effect around light sources, which is a bit more refined than what you get with the Black Mist filters. If you want to see the differences for yourself, I highly recommend checking out various portraiture demonstrations on YouTube! Personally, I prefer this filter to the Black Mist - it just has that special touch. Now, I won’t lie, Tiffen filters come with a price tag! But let me tell you, the value is undeniable. You’re getting an original design that boasts an all-metal build. Sure, there may be cheaper alternatives out there, but nothing quite compares to the quality of this filter!

This is the filter for your X100VI.
If you're looking at Glimmerglass for your X100VI, you've found the right place. It makes the lights pop and softens the fuji up a little. As a "Canon Guy" primarily, I'm rather used to warmer colors.. as a BIG aperture EF lens guy, I'm used to a little softness too. I found the Fujifilm X100VI to be a bit "clinical" and the colors a bit cool. NOT ANYMORE. This is the filter you want to breathe life into your X100. Fits perfectly, protects your lens, easily installed and great effect for the price. Worth every penny.

Great Daylight Filter - Avoid for Nights
Just perfect for getting a dreamy effect during daylight shooting with standard-angle lenses (anything north of 40mm). On wide-angle lenses at night, this filter has been unusable - lens flare hell. Any streetlight becomes a danger to the whole image. I almost wonder if I've got a defect, because it's so far from the effect I've seen when others shoot in similar conditions. That said, it does what you need if you're not shooting harsh lights in dark streets.

Adds a natural looking filmic look to your photos
This filter adds a subtle diffusion to your images. It’s also great for photographing shimmery or glittery. On people it gives them a hint of retouching. Despite being a 1 it’s strength is between 1/8 and 1/4 of something like the pro mist black. However, the effects of this filter are more pronounced on backlit subjects, wide angle lens, and zoom lens. This is a great all around lens filter that adds style to your photos without doing the most.

GlimmerGlass has no equal
This filter is really the industry standard, compared to other brands which only “imitated” Tiffen. GlimmerGlass is really the obvious choice. It produces the halation needed for the lights and adds the dreamy effect to reduce the digitized feel of cameras. No knock-off can replicate what the Tiffen GlimmerGlass offers.
