Bandai Official Gashapon Machine Tray (Tentative)

A satisfying alternative if you have a gashapon addiction but don't live in Japan. It comes with four plastic coins to use and a collection tray that just slips out of the back. This machine only works with small gacha capsules so keep that in mind. But it really scratches an itch and looks great on my bookshelf.

Works great! It's easy to operate and not too big or heavy, so it's easy to transport. I used it at a small scale zine show and the attendees really loved it!

Item came in perfectly packed. It comes with 6 gashapon balls that you can pack with prizes of your choice. It also comes with about 5 play yen coins that you can use to get the gashapons out of the machine. Please note the machine will also take real coins. It's really a well made item and an official bandai product. I also love that the paper insert can be changed--you can print out pictures for any occasion to make it mirror what the prizes are inside or for holidays, etc. This thing is a blast and is just like the machines in Japan. LOVE THIS ITEM!

*IF YOU'RE HAVING A DIAL ISSUE- READ THIS!*It arrived and i immediatly went to turn the dial to no avail. It was concerning since I'd seens reviews of the same issue and was afraid I'd have to return. Through some trial and error I figured out that the coin has to sit WITHIN the slot as you turn it for the dial to properly move, then once the coin passes through it stops turning. For anyone who's expecting the coin to drop right in and have it turn easily, that's apparently not how this machine works. For now it's working fine and is exactly what I was looking for.

Arrived promptly and pre-assembled. Worked straight out of the box.I let my kids, 11 and 4, play with it for about an hour as a stress test and it performed great. Any jamming was easily solved. It seemingly works with any 2" gashapon ball.Using google lens, I translated the instructions and found their templates for the insert sleeve. I found the ones on the website hard to navigate when it came to creating a custom insert.I believe it is A6 sized paper, but a standard 4x6 print will fit width wise (with trimming down in the 6in height dimension). I used a 4x6 paper, trimmed down, for my display pictured.Update: I ended up also custom-engraving my own tokens to use in the machine. You can also use quarters.If it breaks during my upcoming travel / convention season I'll update the post.

Didn't know it doesn't fit the bigger capsule before I pull the trigger to buy it ... kind of disappointed.It will only fit small toy which limited what i can put in it :(Though the build quality is great! it feel satisfied to put in coins and turns it.random sidenote , us quarter will fit coin hole too
