Lite Brite Super Bright HD, Barbie Edition

The media could not be loaded. I had the HUGE Lite-Brite with the full-sized lightbulb when I was a kid. Remember how hot that used to get? Memories, lol! We used to LOVE playing with our Lite-Brite. I was thinking of those memories and looked on Amazon on a whim, in hopes to share those memories with my teen. I was so excited to see this Disney version, since we are a huge Disney family. This new version of the Lite-Brite did not disappoint! It was so fun to do together as a family. The pictures are super cool and the colors are beautiful! The lighting aspect doesn't appear that bold when you are in a bright space but take it in the dark and you will see how truly strong the lighting is, with four different light modes to choose from. It is also much more compact than the version we had as kids, which is a huge plus. The only comment I would make is that there are exactly enough pegs to complete a picture, not really any extras, so be careful not to lose any pegs. Also, I would suggest that if you are able, make color copies of the Disney paper inserts, because once you poke the holes and complete a picture, you will not be able to redo that particular picture again. If you have copies, you will be able to enjoy doing the pictures again and again.UPDATE - I had someone ask which characters came with this Lite Brite, which I thought would be a good thing to include in my review. I have attached a photo of the back of the box so that you can see the templates of which characters are actually included. They are Mickey, Minnie, Dumbo, Cinderella, Goofy, Donald, Woody & Buzz, Ariel, Pluto, Simba, Tinkerbell, and a Disney castle template.2ND UPDATE - For those that asked the size of the pictures, they are 8” wide x 7” high.

LiteBrite is so fun and when we saw this and for a great price, we grabbed it! The designs for the Barbie version are really fun and the colors are very happy colors! :D We started with the B in the heart design and it looks really great. There is the nice function of the light that has a few different settings, so that is a nice variety to display your item. Would agree with other posters that the stand will not support the weight of the item, so we placed it on a table against a wall. Maybe place something in front of the LiteBrite so it does not slide and fall. If you love LiteBrite and Barbie, this is a must!

My mom had a stroke, so as part of her recovery I purchased this to help her with her right hand dexterity and the plus was pretty putvomes that lit up the room.

Very very nice toy. Granddaughter loved it. The quality and price were very good. Nice amount of templates. There are a lot of spaces to poke before you finish a whole template but that was fine with me because then I got a chance to do it together with my granddaughter. Must say I enjoyed doing it, brought back childhood memories. Have to say punching the pegs in was easy. After completing the template, it was so colorful and bright. I would definitely buy again and recommend. It would make a great gift for a 5 year old and up.

Really fun having the template to follow. My 8yr old and I had fun putting it together. The power cord however did not work which is disappointing. I don’t want to have to use batteries forever.

This was purchased for a gift and the recipient was very pleased with it. It worked well, the lights were bright and she enjoyed playing with it.

This is always a fun trip down memory lane! I bought it for the melancholy and also for fine motor skills. It’s a fun way to help with therapy

My 5 yr old son loves this! It’s nostalgic for my husband and me as well. It helps my hyper son stay focused and calm for a little bit. I love all the different color pins, the size is perfect, and selection of Disney characters is great.
