Precise, Easy to Use, and a Joy to Work With!
The SUIZAN Japanese Pull Saw is an outstanding tool for woodworking. It’s incredibly accurate and makes clean, controlled cuts with minimal effort. The double-edged Ryoba design is versatile, allowing for both rip and cross cuts, which is perfect for a variety of projects. Despite its lightweight feel, the saw is solidly built and very easy to handle—even for someone new to Japanese-style tools. The pull motion feels natural and gives you great control, making it ideal for fine woodworking or DIY tasks.

Awesome for it's role
This is a cool little saw. Key word here is little. It is GREAT for small cuts, and 5 stars for that. It you want to cut a 2x4 for example, it will, but, it will take a while. This is NOT this saw's fault. NOT it's job. Use this saw for it's job, it is awesome.

Every woodworker should have one of these
This is a fantastic little flush cut saw. It’s razor sharp, has a very thin blaze and goes through wood like a knife through butter leaving a really smooth clean cut with far less tear-out than any push type saw - even on plywood. Fabulous for joinery - obviously not for pruning large trees!

Excellent saw
After trying several pull saws of various types, I am delighted with this one. It seems to saw cleanly just about any type of wood with ease. My only criticism would be that there are no protector strips provided for the sharp saw tips when not in use.

That's one sharp saw
Once you get used to the "reverse" action (pull not push) the real quality of the saw becomes obvious. The thickness (or rather the lack thereof) of the blade and the razor sharp teeth combined with the pull action make for an excellent tool for accurate and detailed work. My only regret is not buying one years ago.

Cuts a fine line but the blade (for me) is just too flexible. I have to keep the cutting close to the handle.

This japanese saw is a masterpiece and cuts effortlessly into any piece of wood. So far I have tried with 18mm plywood and pinewood, and results have been impressive. Compared to a traditional western saw, this one takes very less effort to saw through the wood. Even though the blade is thin and flexible, the cuts are dead straight. Its take a bit of time and patience to get use to the pull motion, in case you are not familiar with Japanese style saw before. But once you have crossed that stage, you will not feel going back to the western saw.

Excellente scie, la prise en mains est parfaite . Certes le geste n'est pas celui utilisé pour une scie européenne mais l'apprentissage est rapide ( deux coupes d'essai la légèreté de la lame peut faire peur) et le résultat est vraiment très bon.

EXCELLENT. Never used japanese saw before. Everything as advertised and more. Clean and straight cuts every time. Takes a little getting used to the first time as the blade is very flexible, thin and very sharp. Just let the saw do what it wants to do and it cuts perfectly. Very impressed and highly recommend.
