The first and most important thing to consider, when choosing a cologne is your own body chemistry as it can have a major impact on how each smells. One might work great for one man, and horribly for another. I highly suggest trying samples of potential interests. Wear each for at least a day under a range of conditions. Heating up is a great test. The next thing to consider after you have found a fragrance that works for you, is how strongly you want it to smell. This one, Eau de Toilette (EDT) the least potent, Eau de Parfum (EDP) the middle ground, or Parfum the most potent (roughly twice EDT). If I am being frank, Parfum can be very overwhelming with many fragrances. If you have ever been in an elevator and a person stepped in and their fragrance nearly made you cough and lingered long after they exited, it was likely Parfum and they may have even used a lot. Even a single spray of a pronounced fragrance can be too much for many. Even though this is a light fragrance, I still prefer it in EDT. I only want those within close proximity to pick up on it. I find it almost rude to forcibly assault others with my smell of choice, regardless of how highly I feel about it. Light blue is very light weight. It is in my experience the most universal fragrance in that it's elements work with just about any body chemistry. It's not to say everyone will receive it well, rather for those that enjoy the sent, it smells great on nearly everyone. I would describe it as light, clean and natural. Very airy and doesn't overwhelm the senses. I generally use a single spray and it lasts all day. When I say lasts all day, I don't mean it projects. I mean if you smell the area where it was applied, the scent remains. If I heat up, it will project. This is a great gift for a partner. You will always be able to smell and enjoy it when you are close.
