Bought this for a friend for Christmas and she said they are delicious.

I sent it to somebody they say good they like it. They enjoy it and I promise that somebody else too as a gift.

To put my review in context, you have to understand that I'm a baklava snob. I visit a friend in California every year, and one of the "must do" agenda items is to get an assortment of baklava from a particular specialty shop in the San Fernando Valley. It's highly unlikely that any pre-packaged baklava could ever compare favorably to what that shop makes on a daily basis, and which is sold usually the same day it's made, but no later than one day after it's made. Of course I didn't expect this Zaitoune product to be as good as that, and my expectation turned out to be accurate. This Zaitoune baklava is a pretty good confection in its own right; it just isn't the best baklava I've ever had. At $36 for the box (which, by the way, makes an excellent presentation and is something some will wish to keep for other purposes after the baklava is all gone), it's not worth it to me. Mediocre baklava is better than no baklava at all, but you will have to decide for yourself it it's worth the price.

Tasty and nice light snack. Though filled with pistachio nuts, the ad had me believe there would be some with pistachio flavor. There is none. Product high quality though.

The quality is not that bad but the price was too high since it coming from overseas it cost me another custom customs $20 and the price of the product 100 end up $120 I think it’s too much

Sadly, I am very disappointed in this product. The individual pieces are very dry & crumbly and not at all moist, as I had expected they would be. Also there was very little flavour to the pieces, and certainly not the 'honey flavour' I was expecting. I have tried one or 2 pieces of each variety in this box and (in my opinion) they are far too dry and (I believe, quite possibly) stale. Some of the pieces I tried just fell apart as I tried to eat them and the pastry was hard. I have tried many different brands of Baklava over many years, both from the U.K. and middle Eastern countries. I have never had hard, dry, crumbly pastry like this before. It has always been flaky, moist and flavourful. I am hoping my experience with this box is atypical and that I simply have a rogue box. I cannot recommend this product, from my experience. The box has a label on it stating an Expiry date of 03/12/2024.
