Ergon GA3 Ergonomic Lock-On MTB Grips – Winged Design for Mountain Bike Comfort and Wrist Support, Black, Small

Decided to pay a bit more for this brand item. Made in Germany with durable authentic materials. Selected this version with smaller “paddle” mostly for cosmetic reasons and it looks great. Supportive enough to ease the pressure point. Clamp is sturdy and perfectly fit over the 22mm handlebar. The black color rubber is firm with just enough give. End cap is cool and held snugly into the end of the bar.

Nice hand grips that are very easy to install and adjust the angle with a hex tool. I went with the size suggestion from the other reviews and ordered the One Size, which came as Small (what I wanted). The Small is fantastic for small women’s hands and bigger kids. The winged shape definitely helps with keeping my wrists from dropping. My hands go numb still but my wrists feel so much better compared to how they feel with standard grips. The surface is my only complaint, it’s rather uncomfortable without gloves due to the pattern on it. I’d rather have a flat surface but I understand not everyone likes that. I didn’t want to go with the flat or foam handles because I bikejor and my dog likes to run me into brush sometimes so harder grips are necessary. The grooves do help with keeping sweat off the grips, though. I’ve also crashed a few times on pavement and you can’t even tell. Same with my Ergon seat. 10/10 great company and fantastic products.

For sure an improvement from the original covers, my only aggravation is that this cap on 1 side won't stay in and it's bound to be lost!

Best grips for hand fatigue and numbness. I have these on both of my mountain bikes. They hold up well, don't disintegrate. I've been using them for 3+ years. Just got a new bike and my hands are unhappy - just ordered another set.

I would probably like these grips if their outer diameter was larger. The small wing alleviates wrist pain. However, the small diameter causes fatigue and pain in my fingers. My hands are just big enough to fit Men's large gloves. I don't know if I should try the GS1, the GA2 Fat, wait for Ergon to start making a GA3 Fat, or look into another brand. I do know that I can't afford hand or wrist pain nor can I afford to waste money testing bike grips. Edit: I took these grips off and replaced them with SQLab 711. The 711 grips are great; I'm done searching.

Exactly what I needed

Ich habe bereits auf meinem Hardtail die Ergon GS3-L Griffe und bin mit diesen sehr zufrieden, daher fiel auch bei meinem Fully die Wahl auf Griffe dieser Marke. Da ich i.d.R. Touren fahre, war ich mit den ganz runden Griffen, welche standardmäßig montiert waren, nicht wirklich zufrieden, sie bieten zwar guten Halt, aber auf längeren Strecken wird es einfach unbequem, da man diese zu stark umklammert. Die kleine Auflagefläche der GA3 Griffe bringt enorm was, man denkt es gar nicht, wenn man die Griffe das erste mal montiert, aber nach wenigen Kilometern im Wald oder auf Schotter lernt man diese zusätzliche Fläche wirklich zu schätzen. Durch das Abstützen der Handballen hat man eine viel entspanntere Griffhaltung, ohne den Eindruck zu haben, nun weniger Kontrolle zu besitzen. Ich empfinde es sehr angenehm. Der Preis ist zugegeben nicht ganz günstig, man wird sich hier auch etwas den Namen bezahlen lassen. Aber ich persönlich betrachte gute Griffe als sehr wesentlich beim Fahrradfahren. Schmerzende oder taube Hände nehmen seinem sehr schnell die Lust an den Touren. Und man muss beachten, dass diese Griffe unter normalen Umständen mehrere Jahre halten. Insofern bin ich gerne bereit einmalig 10-15 Euro mehr zu bezahlen, das sind für mich keine exorbitant hohen Kosten, für die ich über 2-3 Jahre schmerzende Hände in Kauf nehmen würde. Natürlich summiert sich das, wenn man das bei jedem Bauteil am Fahrrad sagt, aber ich betrachte das gerade bei Griffen und am Sattel als wesentlich, dann spare ich das lieber an anderer Stelle ein. Nachtrag Juli 2019: Mittlerweile habe ich auch bei meinem Hardtail diese Griffe montiert. Diese bieten im Vergleich zu den vorherigen GS3-L Griffen mehr Platz, da die kleinen Hörnchen der GS3-L Griffe dazu führen, dass es für größere Hände etwas beengt wird am Griff. Die GA3 kann ich daher nach wie vor bedenkenlos empfehlen.

Poignée ergonomique, très bon grippe , confortable et souple à la fois , je suis ravis de ces poignées elles sont de très bonne qualité , un tubes rigide est présent dans la poignée pour éviter qu'elle ne vrille sur elle-même. Je recommande vraiment ces poignée, je les utilise sur mon fatbike pour une utilisation de type enduro.

I had a pair of similar handlebar on my bike before but always complained about sore hands or pins and needles. Only figured out that they were fitted at the wrong angle. Purchased the Ergons to replaced the old ones, but this time, fitted them correctly. It took me 3 or 4 attempts to tweak the angle of the grips correctly but the final position ended up very close to the marked "UP" position on the top of the grips. You will understand what I am saying once you fit them on. That said, the grips are a bit softer than the old ones which help with long rides. I can understand why they came about as highly recommended in several reviews. Good product and worth giving it a go.

Ottima qualità e perfetto il sostegno sul palmo della mano, dimensioni perfette, ho una mano di medie dimensioni, il silicone è morbido al punto giusto, consentendo un ottimo grip senza affaticare la mano, purtroppo ho dovuto renderle perche mi sono reso conto che la dimensione della "flangia" dove appoggia il palmo della mano era piu grande di quello che pensavo, di poco inferiore alle manopole che erano in dotazione della Bergamont Elite che ho appena acquistato
