Okay, Neewer is really getting into it these days. First, I have several Neewer products and I've been happy with them. I expected to be happy with this one as well and I am for the usual reasons: It does exactly what it says, it's competently executed with no "flaws". That's a good four star product right there, a superior example of an item of its type. That fifth star comes from the wow factor or the "I've not seen that before, how clever and useful!"Maybe you all have seen it, but the little touch I'm talking about here is the retaining pins. They retract (yeah, old news) but the way they're designed, is via a pin plunger that is spring loaded from behind, retained by a grub screw that is removable. So as long as you keep track of the little pieces, you can remove them. Sorry maybe I'm getting hypnotized over a little thing but I was tickled by this implementation.For basically a little chunk of rail, it looks very nice. The brand printed on it looks good, there are even a couple of little white 'racing stripes' along the side for an accent, and the piece is relieved/tapered along the sides for that extra eye catching line and to save just a teeny tiny bit of unnecessary weight.It looks like there are many options for an item such as this and if you shop on price strictly, they may or may not be your pick. But this one stands out for me with a bit of that gee-whiz, and a bit of appearance enhancement.~Cheers!
