Administer the required amount then sit back and wait a few weeks, it does work and also makes the water a pleasant light blue, make sure you have gloves on a be careful of splashes it will stain quite badly, the plants and wild life have thrived with this added to the water, a little expensive but it does work!!

This does help with blanket weed but I found the black dye to be more effective although the blue colour is more pleasing to the eye. It kills off the blanket weed in the centre of the pond and limits its growth around the edge of pond. Buy the largest amount you can afford you will need it.

The key to using this additive, which is basically a harmless dye, is to add it to the water before the weather gets to the point where the blanket weed starts growing. It works by restricting the spectrum of the light that passes into the water. This year the water has remained very clear and the fish seem quite happy (and I can see them!). Last year I added it late, and while it slowed down the growth of the weed, it was not as effective.

This product does seem to have helped with a blanket weed issue since adding have had no weed appear, beforehand I was having to manually remove the blanket weed on a daily basis.

Sadly the pond is now just a teal colour - a greeny blue. Admittedly, it’s the wrong time of year to use the product as it says it should be poured in the spring but still, the pictures speak for themselves.

The product is basically a blue dye, I did not realise this at first, my own fault for not reading the description fully, but the information did not seem readily available. It helped with the blanket weed slightly, but it is still there, and now the water is a lot darker. I would not use again, as other products I have used seem to do a better job, Barley Straw extract, and the Oase Algae treatment that is no longer available

Put it in the Water feature and it has had hot sun on it for 2 weeks and it has kept it blue and clear so was very happy (last year i had nothing in the feature and had to empty out and clean once a week minimum) also put in my new pond and its keeping that clear to - though bit dark in the pond so harder to see the fish - but i may have put too much in - so all in all very happy with this.
