Works well with Ryzen7 5700X and very quiet
Replaced stock AMD cooler with this one. Works very well, brought down CPU temperature by about 10F. Very quiet. I did not use RGB since I do not like lights so I did not plug it in. Installation is very easy and convenient. Definitely would recommend, provided your CPU can be cooled with this.

Great cooling at a budget for mid to highish power CPU's
The media could not be loaded. Used this to replace an AMD Wraith Prism cooler I was using on my 5700x. Used to get up to 79c when gaming but after replacing with this it hasn't gone past 68c with any benchmark or game but I live in Florida and keep my AC at 78 so I'd say that's a pretty solid upgrade. It can likely keep the 5800xd at bay I'd imagine but will likely not be in the 60s. I don't have much experience with Intel and whether or not they run higher or lower temps but I imagine the results would be similar based on wattage. I know Ryzen usually idles kind of high, I typically idle around 40-50 just because of the way it fluctuates.Aside from performance, the RGB looks really nice but might be annoying to get working correctly with iCUE. That could be because I use ASUS though... I know there are usually issues with getting ASUS boards/gpu's to work right with iCUE. Just a warning for those fellow ASUS/Corsair users lol. Installation was easy, put the CPU plate on and screw down two screws. Uses the stock backplate and the installation is a breeze so that's good. Comes with thermal paste but it's not highly rated so I didn't use it. Clears all RAM on most if not any boards I'd imagine, its very far back after installing. If you're looking for something cheap and aren't running a CPU that uses more than like 125W this should be a solid upgrade if you're using like a stock or some other low end heatsink. It's better than stock in probably any case so there's that.

Great cooler and an even greater price.
When you need to step up from the stock AMD (or Intel) cooler, this is a great choice for those of us who are not into water cooling or overclocking. Though I think this cooler would work well with a little OC, it really outshines (both literally and figuratively) most coolers at even a higher price point. It's dirt-simple to install. The stock backplate is used on AMD, so no need to finagle a new one on after the fact. (With some cases, that's not as easy to do as it sounds.) It has RGB, which I can take or leave, but I tested my CPU (Ryzen 5 5600g) with the stock cooler and this one with dramatic results.Stock:Idle: 33-36 degrees (44 degrees doing regular tasks)100% load: 89-92 degreesThis cooler:Idle: 34-36 degrees (40 degrees doing regular tasks)100% load: 70-74 degreesThe stock cooler would struggle at load, given its size and orientation, it was understandable. This was all done in a Coolermaster case with input and exhaust fans added. This is well worth it at twice the price. If you want to keep your CPU below threshold (well below), and you don't want a radiator and liquid cooling monstrosity in your case, this works wonders. It fits AM4 and AM5 sockets (and similarly done for Intel.)Well worth it. I even bought a spare.

Excellent thermal performance
I built a new budget gaming computer recently and thought I’d save some money by using the stock cooler with my Ryzen 5 5600. Turns out that was a bad idea. The stock cooler may be just fine for an office computer, but for my gaming computer, in my particular case, the stock cooler couldn’t keep up. The CPU was constantly thermal throttled at 95 degrees. After a reading and watching a lot of online reviews, I decided to get one of these assassin spirit 120 coolers due to having exceptional results by those that test and compare these things. I’m very happy to find out that they’re correct about how well this CPU cooler works. I expected to see about a 15 degree improvement, but I’m actually getting more than a 20 degree improvement on my build. Temps are now staying in the low 70s under a full gaming load (as opposed to the previous 95 degrees with the CPU throttled down to about 20%). I’m very happy with these results and can definitely see why these are getting such good reviews by all those YouTube channels.

Good Cooler, Bad Paste
I bought this cooler for an i5-8400 CPU. Not a very powerful guy. Little 65w 6C/6T CPU.Mounting was okay. Only issue I see is that the mounting brackets do hinder the retention arm of the CPU socket a little. Just have to maneuver around it when installing. Screwing the heatsink tower down is fairly straightforward and easy as well. The motherboard I used for this build unfortunately did not have an ARGB header, so I ended up swapping the fan out for a non ARGB fan. The fan clips are a little tight/hard to deal with, but once you get them seated, you're good.At the time of building, I had misplaced my thermal paste(s), so I decided to use the included solution. This was a mistake. It was difficult to apply and didn't want to spread. I got it to sit on the CPU and closed everything up. Idle temps were....not good. The i5 was idling around 40-45c, and under full load was at 68c. Was sort of bummed out with the performance. I did end up pulling the cooler off and repasting it with a different name-brand paste, and the CPU now idles at 25c while hitting about 53c under full load. When I went to repaste the CPU, the original paste had dried up and become chalky. This was in a span of a month. So, it may have been old stock or its just bad thermal paste. Knocking one star off for that. After repasting though, I'm pretty happy with the results.

10/10 would recommend
I have a Ryzen 5 7600 with the stock cooler I would stay around 85-90c after installing this I haven’t gotten over 65c works great just take into mind how tall it is regarding your case. I have no problems in my king 95 case love this cooler
