As a window cleaner this key is useful for my job. I carry my key with my house keys and now I don’t mood to bother my clients asking for theirs.

Don't know why some chubb locks are supplied with cheap 'soft metal' keys where the hexagon end quickly wears off. Got some replacement locks recently with this type of key but needed more (ideally one per room). These are spot on, and crucially wear well. Sound expensive but price is right/similar across many suppliers.

The received keys bear the "Yale" brand and are less likely to upset building/estate managers than unbranded replacements. There is one additional advantage: some third-party replacements have a handle made from softer plastic, making for potential problems opening a tightly-secured lock. These Yales one have a proper hard plastic handle and work better. I feel a little silly leaving a five-star review for what should be a basic commodity item, but these keys are genuinely better than some of the alternatives out there.

We moved house and we were unable to open a window in the very hot weather. Search and found these ……. Perfect, good value and a life saver!

As pictured and fit the window locks in my sash windows. Good that they’re generic. First set were lost in the post, seller reacted very quickly to rectify.

These keys are far more eloquent and refined. 4mm sized (5/32 in) hex key fitting. There are different sizes of Window lock keys so don't get caught out like me and buy the smaller type (P130). Probably made of a very stiff ABS plastic for the blue Yale stamped turny bit you grip and stainless steel for the hexagon shaped metal shaft you stick in the hole. These 2 keys are very solid and will last a lifetime or until either you lose them or your dishonest builder pinches them. 4mm (5/32 in) HEX/Allen key type (my measurements) for Window locks: V-8K101/8K106 and 8K123 (as stated on packaging)
