This is a pretty unique looking RC military vehicle. The throttle is either full on or off so it may be a bit hard to control for some, also - same thing goes for the steering there is no variation. The vehicle will be able to traverse basic obstacles but due to the lightweight, it would get stuck in tall grass. I think for the price-point and if you are in the market for a vehicle like this, you would feel okay in making the investment. My grading scale: 5 Stars = Knocks it out of the park, PERFECT BUY! 4 Stars = Excellent find, you should definitely give it a shot. 3 Stars = It works and functions as advertised. 2 Stars = A little scary, but do your research and it may work out. 1 Stars = Avoid this product and look elsewhere. It was a gift for my 9-year-old grandson for helping me with some chores. He loves it. Had it up & running in no time.

Well deserved 1 star for the looks and one more fir the idea. Remote dies 10 15 ft away. Bad cheap execution overall.

Great RC toy. What sets this apart from regular RC toys is that it has independent suspension, front, middle-back and back. There's an electric motor in the middle-back and back wheels. It won't go over logs and will get stuck in gnarly areas, but it's perfect for the back yard or front yard with grass. The light helps when driving in dark areas. I would have preferred the light to be on with a switch. The only down side maybe is the range, at least on the one I have. The antenna is a wire leading to a piece of copper that is attached right under the front "hood" of the car. I think anyone that's handy can solder a wire to it and attach it to the top of the chassis. My unit has a range of about 40 feet. 20-40 it can stop receiving commands. In the house this isn't a problem at all, just a prob when you're outside with space. 5 stars, a real off road light weight "truck".

This RC truck comes with everything you need to get started out of the box with the exception of batteries for the remote. I think it is pretty good value considering the price. The speed is pretty good, four of the six wheels are powered and it even has lights. The remote is not proportional, so the throttle is either on or off and the steering is either left, right or center, nothing in between. I'd say this is pretty typical for this price point. The overall design looks great, and it even had enough power to drive in loose sand. I also like that it came with 2 batteries, that way you have much less down time and more time for fun. This great for kids or kids at heart!

This is working ok so far, but absolutely seems way too lightly built in key areas to last very long with young boys playing around it. The suspension is tall and is comprised of very small interconnected plastic pieces that seem like they are going to snap like twigs the first time this thing gets stepped/rolled over/dropped off a table by a kid. So if your kids are really careful I'm sure this will be fine for you, if you have a household full of chaos children body slamming each other all over you should definitely pick something else. On the plus side: it does not make any annoying noises, the speed of the controls is very good (where a kid can easily drive it where they intend to), overall speed is appropriate and the controls are intuitive. Both battery compartments stay snapped when the screw is removed, so that's a plus too. The remote takes two AA batteries (not included) and the truck takes a rechargeable (via usb with included adapter) battery, and an extra battery is included.

Generally details okay, and is responsive to remote control. Fun to control and battery life quite ok.( 2 provided) Though initially took some figuring how to plug in and unplug the rechargeable battery.
