Better quality than OEM fob
Fiddly to fit but that’s the nature of what you’re doing. Tools supplied and video guide really helped. Quality really good, and saved me a fortune having to get a new OEM fob

Saved money rather than using manufacture replacement
The kit worked well but had to google how to swap over the internal circuit as no instructions. The pin punches are not hardened and the end of the punch did bend but it did the job and I only needed it once. The kit does not come with pliers to assist separating the fob body to get to the electronics so I had to purchase some circlip pliers. The circuit exchange fitted perfectly. The replacement fob has a key blank that either needs cutting or you can simply replace with your existing key by knocking out the holding pin with the punch but you will need a small hammer. I had to modify the tang slightly using the supplied file as I could not get the holes to line up for the replacement pin supplied. It took about 30 minutes to make the filing adjustment and the new pin was tapped in and secured the key to the body. This purchase was for a VW but I also purchased a fob for a Vauxhall insignia The Vauxhall kit was the easiest and fitted perfectly with no adjustments and only took 10 minutes to exchange. The fobs look and feel identical to the manufacturers fobs and I saved lots of money doing it myself but the VW did require a bit more work time and effort for the adjustments. Best tip is to google and watch videos on how to exchange the key fob electronics and separate the fob body’s. You will need a small hammer and some circlip pliers to prize the fob body apart. If you have patience and some basic diy skills then I recommend this product

Had good potential but ..
Basically the buttons on my old keypad fell apart and where worn down I purchased this assuming it was simple enough .the hardest part was taking the new key apart which felt like it was superglued shut why on earth would you not send it already disassembled maybe because the damage of trying to do so . Shocking quality that you can’t open it and when you finally do the damage is already done .I was too stubborn to let it go as I had already dissembled my older key which was no issue this was way trickier .the spring mechanism has a fault it doesn’t spring back fully but it will do for the moment thought I was saving myself €80 or more at this point I’d rather pay that as the lent of time it took me to open the key .instructions are no use as it’s too fast and the entry point I tried from the video to detach the key left me with a chunk of plastic missing .tools aren’t the best either as they bend upon impact

Pretty good kit - but do watch the video carefully
It's a nice little kit. Hardest bit is getting the pin out of the key, if you're putting your old key in rather than getting the new one cut. It's tricky, and you need to keep the punch very vertical. Once done though, it's all good. Watch the video for advice, especially the last bit of putting the spring in and turning the plastic top round one and a half times before reconnecting. Actually worked first time for me - good video. Yep, I'd recommend this. You will need to file your existing key down a bit to fit it in, but it's not that hard. End of the day, it's a new key for 12GBP including tools you can reuse so very happy.

Good alternative to fixing in store
Video makes it super easy and convenient to do on your own. Was quoted £200 for new car key so this was a great and super simple alternative. Great value for money and works perfectly. Looks exactly the same as my previous key too.

Prepare for the grind.
Looks much better than my old worn fob but took a lot of work to get the original key blade to fit. A tiny file is supplied but I had to resort to my mini rotary tool to grind it.
