It works great, but not for long term use. This is the second pump I’ve bought in a month, and they stop working after about a week. But for short term drainage I guess they’re worth the 30 dollars.

I built a waterfall/Filter & a rock creek bed that runs 55 feet back into my pond. This is the 3rd pump I've tried & none of the other pumps were strong enough to pump water 55 feet up the hill. This pump has NO problem lifting the water to my waterfall. This pump did NOT come with the proper attachments to connect to a garden hose.. but I salvaged the correct fitting from one of the first 2 pumps that weren't stron enough. Now I gave this pump a 5 star review just because I'm so happy to finally see my waterfall work the way I intend... however this is only day 1 of using it. If it breaks down & stops working I will update my review. But so far it's working great!!

This pump stopped working the VERY first time I used it. It lasted about 15 minutes. I have an in-ground vinyl liner pool (popular in CA so as to not crack the pool in earthquakes). During rain, if the pool gets too much water in it and it breaches the seal at the top of the liner, it will cause the entire liner to detach from the sides of the pool with the liner ending up at the bottom of the pool. The repairs for this are several thousand dollars. It's quite the process: there's sand behind the liner and it has to be rebuilt up and smoothed up, then the liner stretched over all of it -- this is only AFTER the entire pool has been drained. I bought this pump to prevent this from happening. It has been torrentially raining in California as the nation has seen and observed the government issued "State of Emergency" declarations for many areas - I'm in one of them. I NEEDED this pump to work and I relied on it. It failed me and caused damage to the liner. Sure enough, water had gotten behing the liner. It hasn't collapsed yet, but it will. It's already pulled away from the sides/top of the pool in areas. DO NOT BUY THIS PUMP. It is beyond comprehension that something would only work for 15 minutes. I thought perhaps it was the electrical cord that I'd used. I switched that out to try another one with the same result. Obviously, this told me it was the pump. This piece of crap is on its way back to the company as we speak.

Worked good but the inlet holes are quite big. I had to place chicken wire around the inlet holes as the pump was picking up garbage and causing the impeller to jam! After I placed the wire no more issues

Pump works well of pumping water out. Unfortunately the connection for a standard water hose has wrong threading. Also no automatic shutoff and you need to eye not to burn out the motor.

Good pump for basement.

Quiet and powerful with the expected results. We use this as a backup to our house sump and as a quick irrigation pump. We also have used it as a remote pump to power a fountain head along our water front. Only issue I have after 3 months of usage at review time is the floating switch ball sometimes not making enough contact to turn the pump on in standing water. Because of this I would not trust it enough to be a primary sump pump.

Great little unit, but the hose adaptor was slightly to small to thread the hose onto so I used lots of tuck tape. So order a hose that goes with it.

We had to change the liner in our pool, so it needed to be emptied completely & were looking at renting a pump for 2 or 3 days, but couldn't see paying over $100 in rental fees. We just happened to look online to see if we could find a reasonably priced one & saw this one on Amazon, so decided to give it a try - we weren't disappointed by it! We hooked up our pool vacuum hose to it (it fit perfectly on the piece that was installed at the factory) & put it in the pool to start pumping the water out. It worked excellent for what we wanted it for & had half the pool emptied in a 3-4 hour period. The next day, we put it in the pool to siphon off the rest of the water & tied the float up so that it wouldn't turn off as it got down to the bottom & within 3 hours we had it down to a level that we could finish off emptying it with our wet/dry shop vac. We are extremely happy with this & it will come in very handy for when we have to drain close to half when it comes to winterizing it in the fall - in the past, we had to use a garden hose to siphon off the water to get it down to the proper winterizing level & that would take 2-3 days easily that way, but with this pump, we'll be able to accomplish that within a few hours!
