I like knowing exactly what I’m giving my dog and this being a single ingredient treat made me feel a lot better about it. The pieces are light, easy to break apart, and perfect for training rewards. My dog is usually picky but he gets excited as soon as he hears the bag open. No weird smell or greasy residue either. Great quality treat and I’ll definitely keep buying these.

My dog loves these. She is very picky with treats and food but she loves these. I was drawn to the fact that it was only one ingredient. It feels like very soft and not crunchy for my dog to eat. It does not smell bad or anything so I don’t know what others are smelling. Definitely could be used for training but I sprinkle some in my dogs food to get her to eat.

We acquired our very first ever puppy 9 months ago. Having absolutely no knowledge of dog treats or snacks, we decided to try many different kinds and brands to see which worked best for us and appealed most to our dog. We have since purchased and used over 25 different treats. Along the way we became acquainted with single ingredient freeze dried products and are currently transitioning into only providing single ingredient, freeze dried treats as we think they are the healthiest options on the market. We had purchased and used several packages of Vital Essentials, including the chicken breast, from Amazon and were very pleased with the product. Unfortunately the last package of Vital Essentials Freeze Dried Chicken Breast appeared to have gotten tossed around during the shipping process and arrived in crumbles. I contacted Vital Essentials. I was fortunate to be able to speak with Michelle P. in Customer Service and she was an absolute delight to deal with. She was quite knowledgeable of your products and was able to share her knowledge with me. Beyond that, she was very positive and pleasant and extremely helpful. I am 73 years old and was thoroughly impressed by Vital Essentials Customer Service. In a quick, pleasant, and efficient manner Michelle P. was able to resolve the issue...and then some. Many of my contacts with various Customer Service departments have left me frustrated for a wide variety of reasons. It was simply wonderful to have such a positive experience with Vital Essentials Customer Service. As a result, we will always have Vital Essentials treats available for our dog.

Great treats for our dog. I'm very particular on ingredients for him as he has some health issues which require no additives. These don't upset his stomach or cause any issues. He really likes them. They do have an odor more than most treats but that's expected given they are fresh packaged and dried meat.

These are simple, single-ingredient treats made from freeze-dried chicken breast. My dogs go crazy for them every time. The pieces are on the smaller side, which makes them perfect for training or for small dogs, but they might not be as satisfying for very large dogs unless you give a handful at once. What I really like is how much healthier these are compared to many other treats on the market that are packed with fillers, grains, and artificial ingredients. With these, you know exactly what you are giving your dog. They are light, crunchy, and easy to portion out, and the bag reseals well to keep them fresh. They are not the cheapest option, but the quality makes up for the price. If you want a clean, high-protein snack without any extras, these are an excellent choice.

These are excellent training treat. My puppies love them so much, they go crazy just from seeing the bag. Definitely recommend. I like the you can essentially customize treat size as they’re easy to break up. I use the really small bits for their snuffle mat to keep them occupied

Puppy liked the flavor but 1/4 of the bag was crushed into sliver-like pieces. I purchased this for a treat, not a kibble topping. Expensive for what I received.

Yeah my cat likes it..a little too much. Didn’t even last a week😢
