My daughter has an issue with dark, thick, excessive wax. Her father also has this issue, so it appears to be genetic. Occasionally, the wax will build up too much, cause a blockage, subsequent ear pain and at times, an infection will ensue. The last time this occurred, not knowing what to do, I took my child to the urgent care, where they pinned her arms down, had me pin down her legs, scraped her ears to the point of causing them to bleed and squirted one of these kinds of squirt bottles in her ears while she screamed over and over, “MOMMY, MOMMY, HELP ME!!” She was traumatized by the experience, but I think I was even more so. She might have forgotten all about it, but that experience is forever etched in my memory.Not wanting to go through that trauma again, the next time she complained of ear pain, I went looking for my own solution. I purchased this, along with an Otoscope with light and a stainless steel ear pick kit. I agonized over several ear flushing bottles and decided this might be the best with the triple squirting tips, even though it was the most expensive of the other brands. I really regret this purchase. The triple squirting tips seem like a good idea but everything else about this set is lacking. It’s one thing to use this on yourself in a shower, but it’s an entirely different kind of maneuver trying to use this on a child. The shape and design are very awkward in getting it lined up and your child’s body head positioned in a way to get the right angle. The tube extending out of the bottle is long and inflexible. It’s even hard for me to use on myself, because my arms aren’t that long. I immediately saw how other designs might be better suited for this application. The tips are very stiff and can hurt when inserting in delicate ears. I don’t know why they couldn’t have used a softer silicone. The kind they used might as well have been stiff plastic. Once you’ve gone through the whole rigermarole of getting the tip inserted right, the angle of the bottle right, the child’s head and body positioned right, and you get going on pulling the trigger a couple of times, the tip goes flying off! And good luck trying to place a tray underneath the ear to catch the water and wax while managing all of this. I ended up having to strip my kid down and have her sit in the tub while I did this or there would have been a mess all over the bathroom floor.I spent a lot of money on this, it doesn’t work like others describe and it’s not returnable because it’s considered a medical device. Probably one of my more disappointing purchases on Amazon.

I used ear drops for 2 days to soften wax. My hearing was worse but some wax drained out. Then I used Tidal Wave and my hearing is GREAT. . I have read reviews about people having to fill the bulbs 15 times to flush ears , I did not count how many times I pushed trigger but I used almost half a bottle of water with a small amount of hydrogen peroxide added. I just got on my knees and leaned my head over bath tub.

Gets the heavy build up after half+ bottle, but the small residuals just don't get cleared out for some reason. Second time I used it I got significant Vertigo -- use body temperature water and squirt slowly to prevent.

After trying quite a number of products to deal with earwax, from the drops to a motorized tool that spins what looks like a roto-rooter tip, this is the only thing so far that actually dislodged ear wax. And harmlessly too. No pain. Can't ask for much more.

Let me start by saying that I paid for the product and this review is a true honest reflection of my experience with it.Simply put, it realy works and it's worth the money. I develop a lot of wax and nothing works for me except going to the doctor to clean it from time to time. Few days ago, both my ears became blocked so I ordered this Tridal Wave ear washer. It came today and I used it right away. It flushed everything out or my ears and I can hear again. I am so pleased with the results and would recommend this to anyone who wants to remove ear wax at home.

I bought this before and it came with several tips. I guess I expected this one to as well but it didn’t. No big deal, but $40 bucks for an extended spray nozzle seems like a huge mark up. It is easy to use and is very effective.

This product works great! Nothing can compare to it honestly. I went to an ENT to have my ear suctioned, and this worked better. Finally I can hear properly!!!
