Perfect hat to keep your head warm, it’s very well made and is snug whilst being very lightweight.

This beanie is stretchy, sturdy, no doubt hard wearing but the wool fabric is on the thin side and, in consequence, not likely to keep your head warm in chilly temps. For that a double layer merino is definitely better. Maybe this beanie is better under a jacket hood. On that basis it is worth 5 stars but if merino is your thing a heavier gauge weave and/or double layer would be best. E.g. Danish Endurance.

Ik ben na jaren mijn icebreaker muts verloren. Zag deze staan en direct besteld, maar is dus gewoon een enkelvoudige muts, geen voering. Dus retour gestuurd.

I'm not generally a beanie kind of guy. But when I found myself in Calgary one cold winter, I sure needed something to cover my bald BC head - that's for sure. Didn't know if this was going to be heavy enough, but turns out it was. Made a big difference actually. I'd recommend this to anyone needing a warm head. It's thin and unobtrusive, not itchy, you barely even know it's there once on - yet it does the trick. I even wore a ballcap over it on a few of the coldest days. Without adjusting the cap's size strap either. Not the cheapest toque out there, but not the most $$ either. A good balance.
