They are very small and not that easy to put on it; need a solid crimp. A really good cable cutter and crimper is the Park Tool cable cutting tool. Problem is that their premium tool's high cost. I still had it from years past. Clean cable cut and excellent crimp. I replaced all four cable ends on my bike to the color black .

Got a new bike and one of the brake cables had a ferrule on the end that literally fell of when I touched it resulting in the end of the cable opening up a bit. So I ordered these, cut the frayed end off the cable installed the ferrule and crimped it on with an electrical ferrule crimper. Voila, fixed. I will probably do the front brake wire at some point. But, now I have 99 or maybe 98 of these left. Probably still cheaper than getting it done at a shop. Not sure why they don't call these ferrules on the product page, since that is what they are.

I'll run a small bicycle repair business and I occasionally I custom build a bike so they're really nice to match up with the paint it brings the whole bite together I'll be buying it again
