I LOVE this rug! It's the perfect color, size, and fiber height. I had a different shag rug in this location previously, and my dog would eat his treats on it... There was no way to clean them out! This one is the perfect height to clean properly yet feels & looks like a shag rug. People are right about the thickness of it being a little thin, but I personally like that feature because I'm using it in a high traffic area. If you are not using it on carpet, you could put a non-slip pad under it that would make it feel more thick. The back is not non-slip. Some people also complained about the smell. I literally have severe migraines triggered my strong smells, especially chemical smells. This rug was NOT a problem. I opened it outside & let it air out for a couple hours just in case. I also sprayed it with a lavender sanitizer. By the time I brought it inside I could faintly smell it if I was sitting on the floor, but no migraines. It was fine. I'm not even sure I needed to air it out, but I did to avoid potential migraines anyway.

This is the perfect size carpet for our area in front of our sofa pieces! I needed a square carpet. This was the only one I found and I’m so glad I did! The only issue I have is that I ordered the brown and it looks more like a taupe color, in the picture it shows a deep chocolate looking brown, which is what I had wanted. I decided to keep it though, and I think the color is growing on me. It is soft, but not that thick, one might want to get a carpet pad to put underneath, but I didn’t really need that so I didn’t get one. It rolls out pretty flat I think the more I have it lying down it will flatten out better. All in all I’m happy with my purchase! I gave it a four star instead of five only because of the color.

Don’t waste your money! This is the cheapest rug I’ve ever seen! If I would have seen it in a store I would have not even considered it! It’s so paper THIN and the so called SHAG is NOT anything that should be classified as shag! I’m keeping this but only because it’s the right color and I have a true SHAG rug to go UNDER IT that makes it the thickness it’s supposed to be!

The rug is just ok and is on the flimsy side. It took 3 weeks of hanging outside and with Febreze on it to get out the horrible smell. It was a really bad chemical smell. I bought another one of these rugs that was a different size and didn’t have that problem with it. It’s a nice purple color.

Seeing the word 'shag' always gives me pause. The 70s flashbacks are hard to shake. However, I did want something that would be soft underfoot in our bedroom, so what to do? Hoping for the best, I decided to give this nicely priced rug a try. What a pleasant surprise! It's soft and fluffy, but not too fluffy. Rolling it in reverse and using 2-sided rug grip tape had it laying flat in no time. I thought it was solid gray, but there actually are different shades of gray, some lighter, some darker. It's a good look and we're very pleased! Not a 70s vibe in sight!

While not the best made, it's beautiful. It's very soft and vacuums easily. Will update after I have to shampoo it. I would recommend so far. The cut is not quite even, but not noticeable so much.

I ordered the SAFAVIEH August Shag Collection Area Rug - 6' x 9', Silver, Solid Design and we absolutely love it. It sits beautifully in our bedroom. It is a bit of a shag, the fibres are soft and it looks modern. Personally I would not put it in a med- high traffic location. I am very pleased and it looks lovely with our modern decor. The order arrived quickly, it was well packaged and it is exactly as per the description on the Amazon site. Thank you.

Great area rug. Well made. Soft. The only negative comment I can make is they folded the carpet to ship it. Every carpet I have ever purchased comes in a roll. There are crease lines in the carpet we are still trying to smooth out.

Very expressive carpet for what you get very light and thin , would not recommend for the price , cannot believe what they charge for it , not worth it , do yourself a favour and order from somewhere else , had to keep for now need something, going to find something else for that kind of money, costco has them for 149,00 dollars and alot heavy carpet and better quality, , but they didn’t have colour l wanted or this would be sent back , l recommend not buying it you will be disappointed , way overpriced ,
