This is a great value little fountain pen, the colours are cute and for the price it's hard to go past. Keep this one in my handbag as an everyday carry.

This fountain pen really surprised me. I didn’t expect much from a pen that costs less than $10, but the quality is impressive. The setup took less than 5 minutes, and refilling the ink was quick and mess-free. The weight feels amazing, balanced and comfortable in the hand. It writes smoothly and looks much more premium than its price. A fantastic budget-friendly pen!

For this price point and with a properly functioning converter which draws in a good amount of ink, I think it has great value-for-money. Aesthetic wise, the brown barrel is nice, but I would wish for a brighter yellow or a lighter beige to go with the pen barrel. Writing wise, it gives a crisp handwriting when I matched it with a Colorverse ink. I must be honest though, the writing experience is not a match to a Platinum Plasir. Hope the writing can be smoother without having to control my strength and angle of writing. I think as a fountain pen manufacturer of long history, Jinhao can explore their own pen aesthetics with the help of some designers, and move away from a "Sailor-lookalike".
