A bit pricey, but the tea is tasty and the presentation nice
This is a good, if expensive, tea gift set. The teas come in a variety of flavors and are in a cardboard container that opens to display the tea. The display is great - the teas are not haphazardly through together but overlapping one another. This is basically a sampler with many different flavors and little to no duplicates. Each bag has a detailed description of the tea. As for the tea itself; it's good! I didn't like all the flavors, but I did like many of the flavors that I've tried. Favorite so far has probably been imperial chai. Another bonus is that the tea bags are biodegradable and not plastic. One negative; at over twenty five dollars at time of review and only 18 tea bags, you are paying over a dollar for each bag. That's rather pricey for a bagged tea. But this is a nice set and affords you the opportunity to try a bunch of different flavors instead of committing to a large amount of one flavor you may not like. Overall, I would recommend this product.

Amazing selection - Packaging Issues
Had consumed the tea from an advent calendar by this brand for Christmas, and was blown away by some of the flavors that I wanted to try more and purchased this gift set. I love the flavors of this tea, but no care or attention to detail was given to packaging of this box. One of the tea bags was missing (Sencha Ariake) and the box was already opened when I received it in the mail. Not sure if this was a one-off, so I would try other products within the brand.

Delicious and teaches you how REAL tea is brewed!
I made a resolution that I was going to stop drinking so much coffee in 2024 and switch to tea after two cups of coffee. Since I'm a bit of a coffee snob, I figured I should try becoming a tea snob, too. No more Lipton! I saw this gift box of various types of fancy teas, and I thought this would be a great opportunity to figure out what I like. Well let me tell you - there's a learning curve to brewing the perfect cuppa! First, there's a lovely variety of teas in this assortment. Not just your usual black, green, chamomile and Earl Grey, though those are included. One of my very favorites was Jardin Tropical - an amazing blend of mango, pineapple, papaya and peach. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package to find that the teas are in a cloth tea bag. I'm sad to say that I pretty much ruined the first three or four bags I attempted to brew. I was really bummed at first, thinking the teas weren't very good because they were really weak. Then I started to actually READ the back of each wrapper for every tea. First, I was using way too much water. There is also valuable information on the back of the wrapper, and it's different for almost all of the teas. The aforementioned Jardin Tropical, for instance, shows that water should be 195 degrees and it should steep for 4-5 min. It also has a sun and a moon symbol, indicating it's caffeine free so it can be enjoyed any time. I read that adding full-boiling water to tea can cause oxygen to be reduced and make the tea taste flat. So I've worked diligently to make my water temps as close to the wrapper as possible and steep for the recommended times, and it's yielded very tasty results! Also because these are premium teas, I find I don't need sweetener - they are wonderful in their natural flavor. Thank you for forcing me to learn the PROPER way to make tea, Palais des Thés! This would also be a wonderful gift for someone who is a tea lover or who wants to BECOME one, like me!

A truly luxurious experience
Palais des Thés - Discovery Gift Set Box with Premium Flavored teas - Organic Selection of Biodegradable Tea Bags - 18 Tea Bags Total I absolutely am in love with these premium organic teas! It feels like more than sitting down with a cup of hot tea, it's a truly luxurious experience! The quality of these teas is evident in the subtle and natural flavors and in the unique and high quality biodegradable cloth tea bags. These are made in France with ingredients sourced from around the world. Each tea bag wrapper gives a short description of the tea and notes if it's caffeine-free, and sometimes also mentions where the tea is from (the back of the box lists all ingredients for each type of tea and also the origin of the tea, in both English and French). I really appreciate all the information and transparency so I know exactly what I'm drinking. I noticed that two of the teas mentioned the Louvre so I did some searching and apparently this company, Palais Des Thes (which I believe translates to Palace of Teas) formulated some teas specifically for the Louvre, which is so cool and something I think they should definitely play up more because wow, what an honor! I have thoroughly enjoyed trying each of these teas. I still have five bags left but I had all the other 13 varieties myself. I enjoyed all of them, but some of my favorites were the Grand Jasmin Chun Feng, Imperial Chai, Blue of London, and The du Louvre-Courtyard Tea. This set of 18 bags comes nicely packaged and would be perfect for gifting to a tea-lover, maybe along with a cute tea pot or an antique cup and saucer? Maybe they already offer this, but I would like to see a set that includes two bags of each variety of tea, that way you can share a cup or just have a second bag for later. The one problem with this set is that I haven't shared any of it because I want to try each variety myself! A truly indulgent gift (even for yourself!). I highly recommend this excellent quality tea.
