We have been attacked by pitt bulls in the past when we walk our yorkie. I used it on a pitt bull that attacked us a few days ago and it saved us and our dog. It got my husband's arm and I shocked him with this and he stopped. He backed up and we were able to get away. I'm so thankful we had this cattle prod!

This cattle prod is lightweight, well built, and easy to handle. It provides a consistent response and helps guide livestock efficiently when used properly. Good quality for the price and durable enough for regular farm use.

Not too heavy, not too long. Perfect for keeping our goats off of us when we are feeding and walking around. They are all pets and STAY in our way or are always trying to stand up on us. Just one or two zaps and you no longer have to even turn it on. It's not too strong for them and doesn't cause enough pain to make them yell out. It would work perfectly for any small livestock and I think it would work great for dogs too if you're a walker. I love that it's rechargeable and you don't have to keep batteries for it. Highly recommend!

Does not work!!! I bought this because I live in an area with alot of coyotes. I thought it would be good to have when I walked my dog. I didnt use it for a while and put it together. Took my dog out for a walk thinking I was covered. I touched it to a metal item and no spark, nothing. I had been on charger for over a week. Thought it was handler error so I took it out for another spin and still nothing. I tried it a few times and checked to make sure that it was supposedly charging. Light came on but still did not work. Do not buy this. Oddly enough I was born and raised in Iowa where there are many cows but now live in Arizona where there are many coyotes. I wish I would have actually looked on the Amazon reviews and not the Ranchoice reviews before I bought. The Amazon reviews tell the truth that there are many charging problems... so I will file this product in the garbage and kick myself for spending the amount I did for a piece of junk. Thank God I didnt run into a coyote or a group of them with my false feeling of security. By the way, I am 74y/o and I wonder if your company feels any obligation for the fact that I could have been seriously hurt!!!!!

My shih tzu was attacked by a pitbull and luckily wasn't seriously hurt. But instead of being terrified to walk her in my neighborhood again, I bought this. You can't see the sparks until you touch something metal. But you can hear it. It looks like it packs a punch. Now I can walk my dog and not worry about her getting attacked or killed again. It's a great piece of mind for me! It's nice and lightweight, so it doesn't bother me holding on our walks. I hope I never need to use it, now I'm happy to know I'm safer! Seems great so far!

Work pretty good. Keep charge longer then expected

This Prod does a great job and works excellent. Battery charge last a long time. Reasonably priced.
