Seems like a very well made, strong bag.I purchased this backpack duffel bag to replace a carry on suitcase. I don't check bags.I take everything in the carry on.When I took it out of the Box it was smaller than I thought and was concerned if it would not work.I was able to tight roll and pack the main compartment with the following items.2 jeans1 pants7 shirts6 pair socks6 underwearThin jacketI still have all 4 side pouches.I do not care for the snap top side pouches. They should be zipper or Velcro. I will probably add a velcro strip to them.I normally take an extra pair of shoes. If I stuff the shoes with socks and underwear I think I can get a pair in the main pouch.Headed to China and Nepal. We'll see how it goes.The bag was great on the trip to Nepal.Held everything I needed for the week.The snaps held great. Good pouch for the 3oz liquids that have to come out at security. The other snap pouch was for large head phones for the plane ride.The bag was nice and tight like a parachute and fit very well in the overhead compartment.Was very comfortable as a backpack.The only downside of packing like this is if you want to Bring Souvenir's home.

Large capacity lightweight and durable backpack that converts to a duffle bag. It’s waterproof and comfortable to wear not like wearing a suitcase on your back. Provides space for clothes, laptop, iPad, pair of shoes, and toiletries. Functions exactly the way I wanted.

This bag has two pockets on each side. The lower pocket can hold my 27oz yeti rambler with a handle, the upper one can hold wallet, passport, phone, keys etc. There is one on the back that is document/laptop sized. Inside there are sleeves for a laptop, and a tablet that are secured with a short Velcro strap, the main section can hold a lot of items that would not tumble out when unzipped because the sides are secured with pieces of material. The front unzips from the top and has several pockets on the inner part to hold phones, passports, keys safely. You can carry this bag several ways, backpack hiker style with adjustable straps across the waist and hip, cross body or over the shoulder front or side, and there are two grab handles on the top and front. There are several hardware for carabiner locks etc. The two zipper pulls for the main section can be locked securely as they interlock and can fit a TSA lock. The reason I took away a star is because the shoulder strap is thin and has cheap plastic clips. I replaced with with a padded swissgear strap with metal clips. The backpack straps are padded but again the cheap plastic hardware. If this item was waterproof, it would be a perfect all-occasion bag.

I was a little obsessive with replacing my work bag. I ordered several and decided on this one. I like the external pockets so that I have built in separate compartments. Inside the main compartment, there are two slots for devices and then on the side to stealth slots, which are good for charging cords a mouse or an external battery brick. I also like the D rings on the outside to attach carabiners so maybe there are too many but I guess you can’t have too many D rings ha ha. Zippered pouch on the back side for super secure area. I would like a little better place to hold pens and that kind of thing but that’s a small issue.

Too small. Lots of great compartments. Maybe even too much compartments. Hard to reach into but great for organization. Great strong material. Beautiful color way. Just too small for my needs.

You can't really tell in the pictures, but it's actually half a circle backpack instead of rectangular. You can't really put more in it than a regular backpack. The only advantage you have is height and even with the extra height you still can't put more in than a regular back pack. Because it's circular, the side pockets don't hold as much as they could. If they do a slight re-design, it would be a great backpack. However, how it is right now it is NOT worth the price.Pro• Good quality, solid.• Solid zippers• Zippers allow for a lock• Dividers inside are spaced apart at a decent distance• Design of the opening (except one of the pockets)Con• Bag shape - its a half circle instead of rectangular.• Bottom of bag is smaller than top.• The pocket on the opening inside - should end before the fold in the bag when closed. You end up thinking you can put something bigger in that pocket, but you can't because it ends up being folded in half when you close the bag.• Zippers allow for a lock, but it's best if there is a spot on the bag itself the you can lock the zippers to. If the zippers are locked, but free to move, you can still get into the bag easily without being detected. (If you don't know what I'm talking about look up TSA/airline unnoticeable theft trends.)

Just used this on a 5 day trip. Packs nicely. Fits under the airplane seat and overhead compartment. The backpack "mode" wears well, sits up high on the upper back. The straps to tighten are at the base near the hip, pulling upward, opposed to at top near the shoulder pulling down...if that makes sense. Takes a little getting used to but minor. A BIG deal is the heavier duty zippers that secure all compartments! I had this sucker packed and I didn't not fear any seams busting. Great bag!

I bought a military style backpack about a year and a half ago and it was just oo much in terms of small places to store and lose things when traveling. This came backpack replaced that one and what a great decision that was! This digital cam pack is stylish, superbly made and has just enough compartments to keep things organized without losing stuff. Zippers are heavy duty - nothing is cheap about this pack!
