Great for calling cats!
I bought this to call our cats when I put their food out. It is small but works well. It's not amazingly loud, but is loud enough for the cats to hear when they are at the other end of our Victorian house. I think you'd need a bigger one if you were calling children!

Nice little ringer - perfect for getting the family together for dinner (with a Pavlovian flourish) and pretty too. Only downside is that the handle seems to unscrew itself but is easily retightened.
