Cheap and easy to use. Works well and does the job it was designed to do.

I bought this to use with my Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mk II for high resolution photos. I had been using the Olympus remote app on my smartphone, and that allowed me to take normal photos using the Shutter, Aperture and Manual modes, but that remote does not work for high resolution photos and I did not like having to have the camera wifi on, eating up battery life.The JJC remote plugs into a special port right next to the sd card storage door and works properly. A light press on the button focuses the camera and a full push forward, backward or down on the button takes the photo. I have tested this with high resolution and normal photos and it worked for all settings. I also tested it to make sure I could use it for bracketed settings and it works for that as well, both using the custom setting I have for bracketed exposure settings and for the HDR settings used by the HDR button on the camera.Good little remote for very little money. We will see how long it lasts, but indications are that it was a very good purchase.

It looks cheap because it's cheap, but it's working perfect for my Olympus OMD E-M 1 Mark II .It behaves like a shutter button : half press is getting the focus and full press is the shutter.The remote is plastic (cheap and light). I'm afraid the cable is not going to last too much as it is very slim and looks I can break it easily.No matter what, in case this stops working I will buy a new one. I really like taking pictures with a remove, way better than the mobile app or 2 sec timer delay. This is great for long exposures or even landscape photography.It's definitely not the best remote you can find, but it's a lot cheaper compared with the official Olympus remote. For the same price, I'm sure you can get a wireless remote, or, even better, a remote that allows you to set the settings (for time-lapse photography).* 4 STARTS from me, as I mentioned, because the poor construction and overall feeling that it can brake anytime. Even if it brakes, I will buy it again, as this is doing exactly what I want. I ordered a more expensive remote but it didn't work with my camera, so, make sure the remote you order is compatible with your camera !

Does the job, no complaints.

I bought this to use for macro photography, specifically with insects, and I find it tends to have a bit of a delay and can miss the shot.

No surprises here. It just works like you think it would. No special bells and whistles. Fits my need for using the E-M1 III to take astrophotography, although don't have much opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and camera yet due to COVID-19 lockdown. Great value if you want a simple remote shutter, no timer, no battery, no fuss.

Bought this remote release based upon reviews by other purchasers. WRONG! I don't know what the others were reviewing but the cable release I received definitely DID NOT fit on any port on my Olympus OM D EM1 MKII. My EM1 MKII needs a 2.5mm mini plug for the cable release and this unit came with some other type of odball plug that did not fit anywhere on my EM1 MKII. The box it came in even indicated that it would fit the EM1 MKII. Don't buy this based on the other reviews listed here. IT WON'T WORK ON YOUR CAMERA!!!!

This remote is simple, works great and seems to be very well built. It fit my Olympus Om-d em1 mark III just fine. I like to take long exposure shots and the remote will trip the shutter and lock open for bulb shots. Definitely a must buy for Olympus shooters.

I use it on my Olympus OMD EM 1 Mk 2. Does its job well.
