Get your size right! Dont pay for return shipping!
Well i bought the S/M and L/XL. I have a 22" and a short haircut. S/M fits me like a champ and i can still have a beanie underneath. The L/XL had too much play for me to feel safe (Probably better for people with big hair). Hopefully this will help yall since I cant take these other reviewers opinions. Fits like a glove.

Good-looking, comfortable, and functional - what more can you ask for?
Easily the best bicycle helmet I've ever owned. I absolutely love the blue / red combination, and between the visor and the thickness of the helmet (thinner than usual because of Bern's unique injection molding process), you won't look like some BMX-riding teen. You also won't look like you belong in full Lycra, if that's a concern. This is, as bicycle helmets go, pretty stylish. As far the fit, it's very comfortable. I'm on the upper end of the "large" head size by Bern's measurements, so the rear head tension adjuster is maxed out on mine, but the result is a snug, stable helmet - exactly what you want in a bike helmet. The strap is high quality and doesn't rub or aggravate my skin (an issue with cheapies), and the flip visor really is a pretty great extra if you ride in a lot of sunny weather. It breathes well, though obviously you're getting less airflow than many of the racing and touring bike helmets out there. The tradeoff, I'd argue, is your head won't get sunburned in the summer, and in the rain your hair won't get soaked. As far as impact resistance, I hope never to have to test it, but the Brentwood seems extremely solid and Bern has a pretty good reputation for building quality helmets. You're paying a premium here for what is a fairly casual helmet, and I'd say it's worth it.

Giant Mushroom Head Look
So i ordered a large/XL and an XXL/XXXL version of these helmets. The large/XL was too small and I could not fit my head inside of it without tremendous force. The XXL/XXXL is torqued down to the smallest possible size to fit onto my head and not move around. In order to get a proper fit, I had to adjust my rear dial to the tightest setting which really crushes the occipital area of my skull when looking up. I have a 23 3/4-24 inch circumference head. This helmet does not look "cool" in the XXL/XXXL size, more like a giant mushroom, or Toad's head in Mario Kart. The Large/XL did not fit but looked good.It is perplexing that this company does not manufacture a size in between L/XL and XXL/XXXL. What about XL/XXL?

Fits Large Noggin
I've got a very large head and always have trouble getting a large enough "sized" hat, so I was worried that getting a helmet for boarding would be difficult. Unfortunately, I was right! I ordered three helmets that we listed as XL or 2X and found two of them to be too small. The Bern was sufficiently large though, and I really like the dial on the back of the helmet to tighten up the grip around your head to a comfortable feel and really feel that it will stay in place should I fall and strike my head. The added bonus to me is that it does not super oversized making my head seem cartoonish when I wear it.

Solid protection, not a summer helmet..
Fit was as expected but should not be called a summer helmet. This thing does not breath well at all. I bought this because I have the kids version and they wanted me to have the same helmet.. After my first ride I immediately went to the bike shop and got something else.As far as protection goes, I have no doubts it would be one of the best at this price but be warned, it does not breath well if at all...
