Medium size: Pet rat loves it alreadyI have a very large male rat who in just one day has taken to eating and napping in and on top of it.**Update** xl size added: now have 3 full size adult male rats who love both hammocks. Got the extra large one because we have one really fat rat and when he gets in the medium with everyone, someone ends up hanging half out or is shoved completely out the opposite side. The xl is more than enough for several rats but its also great for covering the distance between the end of a shelf in the ferret nation to the opposite wall, so excellent for preventing old guys from falling. BTW make sure you look at the product dimensions and not the packaging dimensions when deciding which size.I was concerned at first when I saw that only the inner material was fleece but after 4yrs of owning the medium hammock, I can say they have not chewed it up like other hammocks & tunnels. It's easy to was and dry without furthering and chewed up parts and I really like that I can remove the clips before washing so as to not have to worry about rust. There is some slight fraying but so far there haven't been any long threads or anything else they could get their feet caught in. There is no filling between the outer and inner layer, often filling here will cause them to rip it apart so they can rearrange it.*update* my guys are chewing on it but not too bad, both medium and large are holding up well. Also realized medium is perfect size to set up in cat carrier for vet visits and the large because of the multiple layers it's perfect for creating something for them to climb down halfway between levels of a ferret nation midwest cage or something of a similar layout. Plus it's the only soft thing they haven't tried to completely chew apart (just a little chewed areas along one or two sides). Plus these are easy to wash.

My only complaint is that I wish the carabiners were thinner. I had to Bend a few bars for my rats cage so it could hang. My rats spend most of their time there and cuddle in it. Great product for the mini furr babies!

My Chinchilla loves this hammock sooo much and is always snoozing inside it!!! A size large is perfect for one chinchilla he likes to chill on top to keep watch (it's a canvas like material) and sleep inside (soft short fleece material) it's got nice opening so it's easy to get in and out of. I also like the pattern and color I hope they make more stuff with the same pattern to add to my cage. My only gripe is the strap clips they are nice quality just too big and makes it a bit difficult to unclip from the cage during cleaning but besides that it's great!!!

I bought the medium sized pink one 6 months ago for my daughter's 2 adult rats and it's the perfect size for them. They absolutely love it, it's by far they're favorite over all the other hammocks they have. It's especially snuggly warm now that it's getting cold out. As other have stated, the soft fleece is on the inside top & bottom, where it matters, and the cotton is on the outside. It has held up very well, only chewed a little bit. Easy to wash, I throw all hammocks in a mesh bag, then air dry. The nice thing about this hammock is that it's double decker; the single hammocks they chew through the fleece so they can crawl inside. Don't have that problem with this one! Our babies love this so much that I'm back to buy 2 more. The medium is 9"x9" and plenty big enough for rats. If you have ferrets I would definitely recommend the large at 12"x12" or the xlarge at 15"15".

The quality of the hammock is really nice but it is smaller than I thought it would be. Only 1 male rat is able to fit in the inside (as you can see in the photos) but it could probably fit 2 or 3 females. Still, my boys really enjoy it, so I would just say if you plan to buy this for multiple boys then buy a couple! (:

It took our two rat girls a few days to figure out what to do with this hammock, but once they did it became their favorite place to cuddle up together for naps. The two adult rats fit in the lower 'pocket' area together, but so far (after about a month) neither has shown any interest in sleeping on the top surface.Tip for rat owners: setting the strap clips to the furthest possible attachment points in the cage stabilizes the hammock so it's more like a sturdy cloth platform with a pocket underneath and less like a hanging, slouchy pouch, and the rats definitely seemed to be more comfortable with it this way (strap clips far apart). They didn't start sleeping in it until after I'd made this adjustment.I got two so I can swap them out for washing.

This was a great hammock while it lasted. I don’t recommend this hammock for rats though. My two rats chewed through it within a week. If they didn’t chew through the material and the straps, this would’ve been a great hammock. The size was appropriate for a couple of rats. Cleaning was easy by hand.

I am really amazed at this product. I wanted to wait a bit before writing a review because whenever i buy my rats a hammock, they completely destroy it in 3-4 weeks.I bought the first one (small, pink) for my two female rats. Usually, when i put it in their cage, there's at least one hole after 2 hours. This one, which I placed in their cage 4 months ago, is still untouched. They slept in and on it, I washed it, but they never destroyed it even a little bit!.I then bought a large green one, which they destroyed in about 1 and a half month. Then I bought another small pink one. They did tear a few holes in it so they could go in between the fabrics. But usually they just keep doing it until it's unusable. Now they left it that way and sleep in it all the time! You can see them relaxing in it in my pictures, and you can see where they made the holes to sleep in.It's soft, easy to wash, easy to place, move and remove, my rats love it, and so do I.

This hammock appears well constructed and durable. Our new guinea pig C&C cage, where this will be used, is still under construction, so I haven't installed it yet. However, judging by how often similar furnishings in their current cage are used, I think it will be a hit.

The media could not be loaded.  I bought a number of different hammocks/tunnels/etc for my pair of rats. They usually destroyed them all in 1-3 months at most and were never passionate about them. This hammock is an exception. For the first 3 days my rats could not figure out how to use it, I tried to re-position it a bit to make it more accessible. Finally, on the day 4 I found them both sleeping there together. And since then they do not sleep anywhere else but in this hammock. Often inside (it is barely large enough for two adult rats), sometimes one inside and one on the top. They do not chew it, do not even pee in there. It is so much fun to watch them sleeping there - tails hanging from one side and the noses sticking from the opposite :) When you offer them some food, they first try to reach you from the hammock and then try to get out of the hammock as fast as possible to protect that food - it looks sooo funny.

Strong material and perfect size for my 3 ferret (XL). Love the attach and the color. Exactly like on pictures. Delivery fast. Love it!!
