Rummikub in Retro Tin - The Original Rummy Tile Game by Pressman Red, 5"

I'm using this game so much to help my father's neurological recovery!The box is really pretty and well made. The number are large and the color doesn't fade out. This is perfect for elderly and young children.

I like the larger inset numbers. The tin is awesome and gives an old vibe with raised images and letters. This is such a fun game. I did not have any missing pieces or pieces with marks on them. I just may buy another one for a gift. Love this game.

Love this game and really like having the strong metal container to keep it in. Tiles are smooth and color on numbers do not wear off. I bought many, many games to give to others over the years. Every age from three on up can sit together and play this game. Little ones learn their numbers and can be shown how to add before learning how to play the game too. My four year old great granddaughter beat me in a game of Rummikub. I didn't cheat, she learned fast. Most important, it brings different ages sitting at the same table.

I've been playing Rummikub for about 20 years and I absolutely LOVE this game as well as this particular set! I bought this one because I liked the metal case (my old one in the cardboard box was getting kind of shabby) and the numbers in this set are large, the colors easy to differentiate from each other and the stand is good. It would have been nice if it came with a little bag for the tiles, but I found one at home that works. We pick the numbers from the bag rather than turning them upside down on the table. Takes up less space. By the way, if you want to travel with this game, I'd leave the metal box at home and just put the tiles in a bag and a rubber band around the stands. Much lighter for traveling!My friends and I also play a scaled down version of the game and don't keep a running score game-to-game, as the instructions suggest. We just play each game individually and you either win or don't win. Then just go on to another game if time permits. This game is great for keeping your brain active and I feel like it really improves those little gray cells! Beware though... it's very addictive, but in a super fun way!

Great game, especially for those wanting to get their mind working as it does make you think which is a great thing especially for us older folks. Our whole family enjoys this game so much and we play it a lot.

My wife loves this game. She particularly loves beating me when playing it, which happens with regularity. Or original game's box was falling apart so I got her this nicer version as a gift because I love her and apparently I'm a masochist, at least with tabletop games.This version has much nicer tiles with their numbers physically "engraved" into the tile, so they'll never wear off. The metal box is nice, if a bit on the small side. It can be a little puzzle getting everything back in after you lose another game to your wife. The racks are better than the basic version, but WHY oh WHY are there only three rows? I always thought it weird that the basic game has racks with three rows when the game has four colors. So a deluxe version should have luxurious four-row racks. Alas, there are but three. In a two-player game, you can pair the racks in a way that gives you five rows, which at least makes tile organization easier while your wife again crushes your score for yet another solid win.I'm glad I purchased this better version. If you're buying Rummikub for the first time, this is a good one to get. It's a fun game in the class of Scrabble, in that it's a classic that never really gets old. The metal box may not be the best choice for frequent travel use, since it can be dented. Highly recommended!
