Aromatherapy for Beginners: The Complete Guide to Getting Started with Essential Oils

I am brand new to aromatherapy. With this book, i can accomplish a lot with a relatively minimal investment. I am really glad i bought this book.Update ... one thing I really like about this book are the recipes. Kennedy gives a list of favorite oils and then proceeds to give recipes that use those oils. I have purchased other books that rarely refer back to their favorite oils ... every recipe seems to include at least one that I do not yet own. It was getting so frustrating that I almost decided to just give up. Glad I looked at my "Aromatherapy for Beginners" book again before throwing in the towel!

The beginning of the book is a great introduction to oils and it guided to make a great first choice for affordable but quality oils (simply earth- use code "oilsintheparkfree").The middle of the book is chalked full of information about oils which is great for reference and for making your own recipes and blends. But the book also features a lot of great tried and true recipes that I'll be using :)I'm keeping this book saved to give as a gift in the future.

I own a number of aromatherapy books but I keep coming back to this one for simple and effective blends for a variety of applications in the home and for personal care. I wish more aromatherapy books were written in such a straightforward manner without the hocus pocus you get from some other authors. It contains solid information and discusses supply sources for EOs as well as accessories. Definitely a must-have for anyone starting out but it also serves as a reminder that simple is often better.

Interesting and helpful in some ways. It does tell you what certain EO’s are used for, but kind of leaves you hanging in the recipe department. A good starter.

Being new to diffusers, aromatherapy and essential oils, I needed a book that explained the basics. This book was very informative and well written. I was pleasantly surprised to learn how many uses there are for essential oils! I found the information provided to be very helpful as well as interesting. There are also several recipes I plan to try immediately. I will definitely recommend this book.

Wow, this book is just what I needed an have been looking for. It’s so well written, great format & layout. It has an extremely large selection & multitude of easy recipes w/ driscripton that include cleaning, health & beauty plant care etc.... Honestly, I’ve bearly touch the surface of what this book offers. I’m just so excited to have it.

This is my go to book for the oils listed as the author’s format for the book is so easy to read...the listed EO pages are a different color for easy referencing...certainly plan on gift giving of this book

I loved this book before I purchased it. I saw & borrowed it at my local library . Plan to make one of the recipe.

If you want to know what aromatherapy does and how it works you can check Wikipedia. This was a very small portion of this book. The pictures are beautiful, the recipes can be used by the few who are dedicated to this art. Perhaps I would like the book in hardcover, but I didn't finish the digital copy.
