Q: Is this wireless as i take the old one off the wall and no wires on show? how do i disconnect the old from powering the heating? and connect the new?

No it isn’t wireless. There will usually be 2 or three wires at the back. They will be live 230 vac most likely. My advice is get a heating engineer in.

Q: Dos this thermostat measure in centigrade

Mine is in degrees centigrade. I bought the wrong one, so have one to sell too!
