Thread length incorrect
Argh. I bought this hoping that the description of the item and the image suggested that I could install an outside tap, wall mounted and everything would be as intended. The thread length of two! Different taps meant that the tap was at 90 degrees without the use of a washer to pad out the fitting. Now try to find a suitable washer with a 15mm+ internal hole when you’re in the field. Even when you pad out the thread with tape the fitting doesn’t tighten so really not fit for purpose. The solution was a copper washer between the tap and this fitting, allowing for some compression along with the necessary ptfe tape on the threads. If you’re running an outside tap, the best option is a through wall mount which can be fitted with the tap and then drill the mounting holes however the line up. Overall, it’s not the end of the world, but just be aware you’ll need some pots and pieces in your tool box to fit as intended.
