KEF 10b plus pair if KEF LSX ii makes a really fantastic desktop music system
The LSX ii powered speakers are very crisp and precise but have minimal bass. The 10b subwoofer fixes this completely - in fact I can’t imagine a better system for a sit/stand desk. The KEF connect iOS app handles settings and has a great interface for multiple streaming services. Apple airplay also works very well casting the music collection from my Mac. WiFi interconnect works well but I recommend using the provided cable to connect the right to the left LSX. The standard (as opposed to expert) settings in the KEF app work well, as does following the app’s advice to set the volume on the 10b half way up (with the indicator pointing straight up) and also leaving the subwoofer volume in the KEF app at half way (5 out of 10). The one thing I changed was moving the speaker/subwoofer balance slider in the app almost all the way to subwoofer. Curiously, if you select KEF 10b as the subwoofer model, the app moves that slider all the way to the speaker end. If you then move the slider toward subwoofer, which is a good idea, the app changes the subwoofer model to custom. Go figure.Again, this combination of powered speakers is a superb desk setup, but maybe not so much if you have neighbors through a wall.

KEF Kube8b 8 inch subwoofer works great with the KEF LS50 Wireless II powered speakers.
The KEF Kube8b 8 inch subwoofer integrates seamlessly with the KEF LS50 Wireless II powered speakers. The settings for the subwoofer for use with the LS50 Wireless are provided and easy to follow. The subwoofer provides the bottom octaves and they system that provides a much more satisfying listening experience. Highly recommended!

Small package big sound
This KEF 8" sub looks small, and it physically is. But it certainly delivers a big sound. I have a small living room and am using it only for my home theater (5.1.2) setup (all KEF). It packs a punch when a movie needs a rumble, and it fills in the bottom end when some depth is called for. If you have a big room, or want a LOT of bass, get the 12" version.I bought this to replace a Polk Audio PSW 108 10" that died after 8 months, but I haven't noticed a difference in low end punch when using the KUBE 8 Just for reference I have 4 KEF Q150s, a KEF T101C, 2 Sony SSCSE Dolby Atmos and the KUBE 8 powered by a Sony STR-DH790.The KUBE 8 is not cheap, but it is a KEF. I've been using KEF speakers since 1978, and still use my original floor standers for music through a separate amp. That means they've lasted 45 years and are still going strong. I highly recommend the KEF KUBE 8 for folks with small rooms who want a sub with a big sound.

Great sub!
Love this addition to the system. Adds depth to everything. Using it with NAD C 338 amp, KEF LS 50 speakers & Dual CS 429 turntable. Also do stream digital sources, but for me nothing like an LP.Went back and forth trying to decide which KEF Kube to buy. Purchased the 10b. Have it in a medium sized room with 10’ ceilings and it is a perfect match.Genres I primarily listen to are jazz, pop & classic rock. Recently inherited my father’s record collection and am starting to warm up to classical music from his collection.Highly recommended

Decent subwoofer, but there are other options
I paired this subwoofer with KEF LS50 Meta and Buchardt S400 MKII.Setting the crossover at 80hz and the bass volume around 50%, this subwoofer added depth and richness to the tone of the music. While it performed decently, I still think there are other great options that I'd consider over this. For music, I'd probably consider Rel's T/Zero MKIII. And as an upgrade option, perhaps the SVS 3000 Micro.I believe there could be reasons why there are a lot of used KEF Kubes floating around on eBay (for around half the MSRP) and not as many RELs or SVSs. However, all that being said, you should audition all these options (side by side if you can) and decide for yourself what might be the best option for your budget, listening environment & listening style.

Low boom
This sub is connected to my Sonos amp, kef r3 metas, and new Sony OLED tv. It sounds amazing especially with action movie rumbles and explosions. Fantastic setup. Great subwoofer.

works perfect with LS50 speakers
I thought I would try a subwoofer with the new Kef LS50 speakers I recently purchased. I decided on the Kef 10" driver, the 8" would have worked fine in this small room, but what happens if you move your system to a larger room some day or move ? Good choice as it blends in perfect.... Subwoofers are subjective, it might sound terrible in this location and incredible in this location. Well this 10" works perfectly in this size room, in the corner location and with these speakers and in a stereo only set up . I cannot comment on how it would sound in a home theatre. It was very easy to set up, it has a DSP switch in back where you can set it on corner, or wall, or in open and a few more settings. Love it.
