There was an issue, particularly on battery, the screen would freeze momentarily, this now seems to have resolved. There is also a 35W power limit on the GPU which is not helpful.

There is a lot of hate going around this laptop.but so far anything I've thrown at it would run at 60 fps(higher in a lot of cases) at high settings.rarely that's not the case,but just tweaking the graphics in game will let you play anything at a consistent framerate.

really good for gaming at 200fps 144hz display

Barely runs any mid-range game post 2017. At first I did not intend to use this as anything more than a web browsing machine with some light animation and games work. Within just under two months of owning this machine, it has began to blue screen frequently with a graphics card issue. Even after installing latest drivers and tinkering as little as I can without voiding warranty, no solution has worked.Do not buy this laptop.

Better than I expected

See, the problem with this kind of stuff is, if you call it "gaming laptop", you supposed to precise which kind of games (us) I mean "buyers" are able to enjoy with it, and by enjoy I mean enjoy, not to struggle to turn the game on at lowest possible settings, RTX 4050 MOBILE is not a gaming video card, and bare in mind, it's not a desktop video card, is it's mobile castrated brother, 8GB RAM MEMORY, honestly? 16GB is considered as minimum for gaming these days, and I mean it. And finally, discount price, total BS, TOTAL BS, 41% OFF FROM 1349 QUID, you will find RTX 4060 + 16GB RAM QHD SCREEN laptops for LESS (than 1349 quid), let's take a look at MSI Cyborg 15 inch A12VF-025UK , you can get it now for as low as 889quid, comes with RTX4060 on board + 16GB RAM and 144Hz IPS Display !!! .But it doesn't mean that it's a bad laptop, you will smash low demanding classic and browser games, if you are not a gamer but you wanna play once in a while, and obviously you know your limitations, go on and take it.

Warning to those who want this:This laptop is comparable in performance to the ROG ALLY a handheld gaming device which is cheaper by £200.The 4050 mobile, isn’t a gaming card, it’ll play 5-10year old games sure, but anything new? Not really. Its basically a 4050, with the guts ripped out of it being sold for 4060 prices.As for 41% for £799? £1400 is ridiculously overpriced, like 100% more than the value of this laptop.Casual now and then gaming? Yes. Dedicated gaming laptop? No. Nowhere near.
