Don't bother downloading this, the pages don't seem to magnify and text is impossibly small to read or be any use to anyone! Refund please! I'm sure the content is fine but this format needs work!

During the Folk Revival, Jeannie Ritchie was the most prominent player and promoter of Appalachian Dulcimers. This book includes the history of the instrument, tips on playing and lots of other information.Though dulcimers and dulcimer playing has moved on since Jeannie's day, anyone wishing to better understand their instrument (and maybe even become a more authentic player) should have or at least read this book.I ordered a used one that came in better condition than most of the paperback reference booksI already own. :-)

This product is exactly what it says. Very good. I have had a lot of fun with learning out of this book. Not just how to play the dulcimer, but also about the instrument. I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in dulcimers.

Great introduction to the Dulcimer.

I have enjoyed reading the dulcimer book. However, I have a background in music so I know how to read music and the instructions for easy for me to follow. I think that if anyone wants to get into the dulcimer this is a good book to have but if you don't have a musical background you're going to have to find a friend who can talk to you about some of the concepts presented in this book. But overall, It is a well researched book that I will use for many years. Some people complained that Amazon sent them an old book from the 70s but mine came brand-new.
