LEECRAFT 3/8" Thick Phenolic Stock, Nominal 11" x 15", LEECRAFT# BK-6

Had a hard time finding an insert for my Bosch table. Since I couldn't find an insert that worked I decided to make my own. I bought this Phenolic piece and it worked perfect. It was flat and easy to cut. It was the same thickness as the original insert so everything worked out nice.

When they say surface split will vary I thought they meant a solid color. My sheet has a weird wood grain lamination for some reasons. I guess my jigs will just look like fake wood.

So I’m giving this a two star only because the actual phenolic board seems to be of good quality. How ever I ordered this 3/8” thick piece for making table saw inserts, but got a big problem! It’s bowed pretty bad. I made an insert for my delta 36-5000 10” table saw. And if you have or know these particular saws, then you know the throat for your inserts on this saw is made in a ridiculous way and making inserts for it is a little bit of a pain in the butt! So I’ve made some with MDF that work fine but wanted to use this phenolic to make a harder, more smooth and durable inserts. Well with this bow it’s pretty much useless, unless I can work out the bow.. pretty disappointed. Also bought a 3/4” thick piece and it’s seems to be pretty flat.

The flatness was ok, not perfect - you can slide a typical office paper between the rule and the sheet, and it'll get stuck here or there (meaning the surface isnt a lens, but more of a wave, still all is in the same plane, not a propeller), size is a bit bigger - mine was 15-7/8 by 11-5/8, thickness was OK. I bought 2 identical sheets, both had the above mentioned faults, both didnt have 90 degrees corners.

Phenolic stock worked out great to make insert plates for Jet table saw.

Perfectly flat, sturdy and cuts clean. I've used this for a number of things including a router insert plate.

i purchased this 3 times. only 1 time I got an actual 3/8 sheet. The other 2 were not 3/8
