Better design then the older model. The older model pushes in with resistance to hold the pen to the base. This model screws into the base so it won't fall out and get lost. Like it did for me. Whatever you buy these are handy little Keychain pens.

Don't waste your money. The pen doesn't stay screwed in the lid. I've lost one already

This is a perfect addition to any keychain, who doesn't need a pen once in a while? Well now you always will! Remember, it screws and unscrews to secure it to the holder. Don't do what I did and forget that fact and... break the first one. (It went right back together again)

Often at inopportune moments, one needs a pen. Whether when talking on the phone, and all of a sudden needing to scribble notes to remember later, or flying into a foreign country and all of a sudden being told that there is paperwork that needs to be completed then and there, on the airplane. These seemed like the perfect solution. Attach them to a key chain, and forget about it. They come in a pair, and are fairly attractive in their silver-colored housing. They wrote well. My gripe: They both came unscrewed from the top which attaches to the key chain, and were lost. Both of them suffered the same fate and it is obvious that this is a manufacturing defect. The pen should remain attached, regardless. I cannot recommend this product.

You wish these were good. So do I. Really cool idea, nice form and size. But the tip broke off the pen immediately, they're too fragile. Maybe some day they'll make a better one, that's refillable. Maybe a screw off backing with a spacer to hold the ink cartridge in place, and stronger soldering of the tip, perhaps a pair of dimples to reinforce the mechanical bond.
