Excellent product, great business
I have combination skin. I turn 39 in a few weeks, my skincare routine just hasn’t been working well as I experience new issues related to the hormonal and skin changes like fine lines and wrinkles etc. I started researching rose hip oil and found that there were a lot of products that use the name but few were actually made from Rosa rubiginosa seed and organic, cold pressed. This product is. I’ve been using it for over a month, I gently rub 3-4 drops over my face and neck after washing morning and night. My skin is less broken out than it’s been in months, and has evened out, less dryness and less oily in my t zone. I feel far more confident with no makeup on as my skin looks genuinely healthy. This has replaced my moisturizer and I’m going to use it for as long as it works for me. I also love the business that I’m supporting. I did a little research into Poppy Austin, I mainly just wanted to make sure I was ordering a well sourced product. I’m impressed with their company values and extremely happy that their products are made in small batches as opposed to just outsourcing and slapping their own label on it.Also, I rarely review because it’s time consuming to do an honest review. Between a demanding job, young dog and aging parents, something has to really be worthy of my time. No one asked me to or gave me an incentive to write this, I just genuinely love the product and, from what I can tell, the company as a whole. Finally, I almost forgot to mention, I feel the price point is really great. I like that they keep the cost in a reasonable range, some bottles of the same size are sold for double the price. I firmly believe these products should be accessible to all women of different incomes and I think they do a good job of keep products affordable.

The perfect amount of hydration
I have combination skin that's prone to breakouts. I never quite found a fit with traditional lotion, and it took me a long time to get on board with oil because I didn't believe it wouldn't cause breakouts. It doesn't! I apply 3 drops of this oil to my face morning and night, and have definitely noticed an improvement in moisture, skin tone / evenness, and acne scarring. I began using this product in November 2018 and still have a little less than half a bottle, so I'm happy with the price to longevity ratio. This product is an amber color and medium consistency -- not too runny, but not very thick, either. Two things worth noting: I'd avoid applying this to your forehead if you have a long day ahead of you or plan on sweating; I've had the oil absorb into my skin (this usually takes a minute or two), but eventually work its way down to my eyes and it burns! I've had to pull over to the side of the road a couple times while driving because this happened, before I realized what was causing it. Secondly, you need to exfoliate when using this product. It's so good at keeping my skin moisturized that the dead skin doesn't have time to flake off on its own, so my face will start to feel rough if I don't exfoliate it manually. Overall, I would recommend this product. I will be buying it again (assuming it stays at the same priced; any higher, and I think I would look into alternatives).

South Asian skin - this is your savior against hyper pigmentation
If you have that terrible hyperpigmentation that occurs on South Asian skin at even the slightest provocation, this oil is for you. Also, if you are thinking of getting the Radha oil, this is one is way better and more concentrated, for $5 more this one I completely worth it.This oil helped me clear up some terrible hyperpigmentation I experienced as a result of some terrible acne last year and it clears it up in a matter of weeks. It also gives my skin a beautiful glow, it consistently feels healthy and nourished. I can see my pores benefitting from it as well, you can't really change their size but it definitely helps with visibility. It has even helped with acne/whiteheads (but that also depends on keeping my skin clean and treating the visible comedones). I know many South Asian women who have scars and hyperpigmentation as a result of even the slightest picking at the skin. But be wary of using silicone based foundation (pretty much all of them) with this oil. I like to wear it morning and night and I wore it with makeup forever foundation and it started separating. So if you like your foundation I'd recommend wearing the oil only at night. I recently tried Josie Maran's vibrancy foundation with it, it didn't look like it was separating but I'll have to wear it for longer to find out if it can work. This pairs well with the Poppy Austin Vitamin C serum, both create a create healthy glow.

A keeper - Perfect for fair, sensitive skin!
I've only had this for a few days but already my skin is noticeably better. My acne has already begun to diminish, the very noticeable acne scars (yay for having extremely fair skin!) are dramatically less noticeable, and the dark circles under my eyes have seen great improvement. I had ordered the Radha Beauty Rosehip Oil last week - it was my first Rosehip Oil experience and it turned me off big time. The smell was awful, the oil (even just two drops) stained my face orange, and after washing, drying, and toning my skin still felt like it had been dunked in a vat of vegetable oil. But I've heard SUCH good things about Rosehip Oil, so I continued the search....This oil smells wonderful- it's earthy and natural. It's MUCH lighter in color compared to the Radha Beauty oil, but still has a light amber/peachy color. I can tell that this is a DRY oil - my skin absorbs it quickly and feels naturally soft and supple (not greasy and oily). I love that it's cold-pressed and there's nothing else added. I use 2 drops in the morning on my face (after using toner) and neck and 2-3 drops at night after removing my make up, cleansing and toning. Beyond the wonderful product, is the packaging. This product is so simple and beautifully bottled that it lives right on my bathroom counter.I love this product and I will 100% be repurchasing when I run out. Which probably won't be for a while!

Made in USA
Item is made in USA. Doesn't say so on their Amazon listing. I checked their website before placing an order - their website says " based in England, most ingredients are sourced locally" leading me to think product is made in England. Alas, when the product arrived, it says on the packaging that item is made in USA.I wonder if the information on the place of manufacture was purposely omitted. I would not have purchased it if I had known that item was made in USAThe company needs to be more upfront/ transparent about its place of manufacture.
