I think these worked really well. However, my girl friend has been bit a few times while opening the gate. I think it's hilarious since I haven't been shocked at all yet. If you aren't paying attention and don't hold the plastic properly you will get shocked. Like I said, I haven't been shocked yet, but one of these days I may have to get out of the truck and open the gate myself. In the meantime, it has provided hours of entertainment for me and my dog!
