Osmo 3011C 0.75 Litre Polyx Hard Wax Oil - Clear Glossy

It's very nice to work with, goes on very nicely, two coats (as recommended by their website) is perfect. I originally tried the Matt which was also very nice to work with but found it to be so matt that it almost seemed pointless. Just seemed dead. If that's the look you're going for then fine. I found the Gloss version was much more to my liking and not as glossy as you might fear. It just gave it more soul than the matt. More character without being a fake, overly glassy gloss. Used it on pine floorboards and they were transformed.

The best kept secret! Have recently dismantled, dipped, stripped and rebuilt satircase in old victorian house. This product is exceptional! It smells lovely, is easy to apply and leaves the wood looking beautiful! It is one of the most addictive products I have ever used for all the right reasons. Once you start you can't stop..everything in timber becomes fair game...and everything looks gorgeous once coated. I first purchased the clear matt to apply on oak doors which had been pre-finished to coat the planed wood on the sides, was warned this might not agree with the sprayed on factory finish but...it worked a treat..moved onto real oak skirting...excellent...then on to pitch pine strings and newl posts...WOW makes the staircase and entrance to the hallway look like an exclusive gentleman's club! Finally moved on in desperation as I was running out of all things wooden on to rubbishy old pine door casings which I had stained to look like oak...Osmo didn't disappoint!. Wood looks wonderful..however the matt is what it says quite matt..however the 'wet-look' I saw prior to it drying was so appealing I repeated the process with the clear gloss osmo (think I was actually going into withdrawal at having no more wood to paint!). This went on like a dream over the matt with no effort...it is such an addictive pastime it is almost threapeutic. Any drips on the floor come off easily with a wet wipe and there was no need for ventilation or complaints about acrid/pungent smells or worries about contact with skin etc! Takes about 12 hours to dry and in the event any grainy bits in the finish are quickly polished out with a piece of fine steel wool. Can't say any more other than an exceptional product which I shall be using again as soon as I have decided on my next project!

Great quality, easy to brush on, dries within 6-8 hrs, buffs up even better should you want a glossier finish. Great choice of types for every situation !

very easy to apply. used it as the builders when they fitted left dust about. so i waxed the floor. the flooring has come up like new. Better than varnish

My kitchen worktop was in need of a protection from water etc. in particular around the sink where water is splashed and dropped daily. I was going back and forth whether a varnish would be a better choice due to the water repellency as well as the glossy finish that I like. I was hesitant given the prep required and given the mixed results people have had with varnish. The Osmo polyx gloss finish looks like the surface has received a coat of varnish. It’s shiny and looks beautiful. The surface can feel tacky the day after coating, but this improves as it dries and hardens more. I also buff the surface to help smooth it after drying. This product is better than I expected. I did a thin first coat and a thicker second coat and that is all it would need. A third coat around the sink is probably needed for extra durability, but will wait a few months before doing another coat.

One idea better than another made but still not good for the money. I have done 7 layers to looks like one. Bulgarian varnish is very thick cheep and worth it. It cost about £6-13 and is worth it .If I apply 20 layers from Osmo it will looks like 1 layers bulgarian varnish. Running so much material. I was able do do one chest of drawers still unsatisfied result

Das Hartwachsöl ist sehr einfach in der Anwendung und sorgt für ein tolles Ergebnis. Handschuhe sind jedoch bei Verwendung empfehlenswert, da es sich von Haut und Pinsel nur sehr schlecht löst.

Verwende ich seit Jahren für verschiedene Möbelstücke oder Projekte, absolutes top Produkt. Lässt sich, im Gegensatz zu vielen Konkurrenzprosukten, super verstreichen und schützt das Holz auf natürliche Art und schaut grandios aus. Nach 1-2 Tagen verfliegt auch der Duft, für mich ist der aber nicht unangenehm.

Das hartwachsöl dringt tief ein und gibt einen leichten Glanz. Trägt man es ein zweites Mal nach der Trocknung auf, verstärkt sich der Glanz. Würde es wieder kaufen.

Seit Jahren kaufe nur verschiedene Öle von Osmo - je nach Verwendungszweck. Es hat einfach Qualität auch wenn es teuer ist.
