I was excited to receive this item as I had pondered for a long time if it was worth the rather expensive price tag but eventually decided to treat myself. My intention was to use it mainly independent of the charging coaster and leave it on charge between uses. First of all it took 4+ hours to charge up fully, The green flashing charging light is supposed to glow solid when fully charged, but I discovered this only happens if you charge the unit when it is switched on and then it starts the heating process which you don't really want it to do when it is unattended. I put hot coffee in it and the temperature stayed in the hot range for only about 20 minutes. The light was flashing under the temperature range selected, indicating the mug was heating, but the temperature continued to drop. I checked when I finished my drink after another 10 or so minutes and was surprised to find that the battery charge had reduced by more than 50%, meaning another approximately 2 hour wait before I could confidently use it again. I can see it being OK for someone working at a desk all day and happy to use it only with the charging coaster, but not much use if you want to rely on the battery. The unit is well made and looks elegant but I expected better performance for the price - have returned it for a refund.

The lid cracked within a month and was a large reason why I got this. contacted the seller, they reply but are unhelpful and sneaky. It's been 3 months and I've still not received the lid they said they would send as a replacement (as apparently shipping issues with it coming from china), but now the actual mug isn't even charging, no apparent reason, unable to fix it, and they refuse to refund, they're just pushing to replace the mug and not listening. I would avoid this. Had no reason to break so soon, awful seller communication, and I doubt they ever sent my lid replacement. Not worth your time. Shame as it's a brilliant invention, just go somewhere else and buy a different brand. Update: They have continued pestering me after my review, and their reply on my review is not what they're writing to me on emails where they openly offer me a refund here but it's a different story ogee emails. I bought two mugs and I regret it hugely. Please please avoid.

The Cable don’t last, second cable in 1 year broke, useless

I first had an ember mug , which worked "ok" with a ton of flaws that this mug resolves . So i'll just list them in comparison1. Ember mug needs an app to do anything and is super frustrating >> S3 Pro have a button on the mug itself to change the temperature . I did not need to install ANY app to use this mug. There are little lights below the temperature segment that also gives an idea what the current temperature is as it heats up and you can easily toggle between the temperature segments . Of course you are limited to the increments, but this is so much better than needing to use an app.2. The ember mug app and connection is horrible >> S3 Pro does have an app and it detected my mug automatically! No funny resetting / holding the button on the bottom of the mug and trying multiple times to connect. I downloaded the vsitoo app it asked for access to location and ability to detect objects in area and it found the mug right there (without ever doing anything on the mug itself).3. Ember and S3 Pro mugs are in the same price range, i find it expensive . Equal in this dept.4. I had a white ember mug and now have a white S3 Pro . The S3 shipped with a wooden spoon , since ironically my Ember mug started getting scratches at the inside-bottom after using normal metal spoons, so that is a nice touch and reminder! I expect both the ember and s3 to scratch with metal spoons though , so use wooden/non-metal spoons with these mugs!5. The coaster of the ember uses a DC input , the S3 coaster uses a USB-C input . I prefer USB-C as it makes it more travel friendly and usable with potentially other adapters that i might be traveling with already.6. The S3 goes to 150 F (65 celsius) , the Ember only goes to 145 F (62 celsius). I like my coffee hot and i used to run the Ember at the 62/max and trust me the extra few degrees are noticeable!7. I'd say the Ember feels a bit more refined in terms of the the finer quality. Both have some sort of ceramic coating, but it feels like the Ember have a thicker coating that sounds more solid when you tap on it. The S3 sounds more metalic/hollow in comparison.Overall the S3 gets the upper hand on general usability, i want to see and manage the temp on the mug itself, i don't want to do it from my phone, simple. This mug provides it.

Estoy encantado con mi taza. Es así.Soy de los que toma café mientras trabaja, pero el problema es que se enfriaba, porque estás respondiendo correos, hablando por teléfono y cuando le das el sorbo al café, está frío. Usé un calentador de tazas que no funcionaba correctamente y el calor que generaba no era suficiente para calentar el líquido (calentaba la taza un poco). Me hablaron de estas tazas y estuve considerando las Ember, pero me parece un precio prohibitivo.Esta Vsitoo, pese a no ser económica, la compré aprovechando un buen descuento y estoy encantado.Tenía miedo a que el café tuviera sabor a café recalentado, pero no, en realidad, nada de eso. Y la suerte es que me permite preparar el café, conectarla y el café no se enfría. Paso a explicar el funcionamiento a continuación.Decir que la taza viene perfectamente protegida en una caja con su plato, cargador USB, cucharilla y libro de instrucciones. La taza tiene unas buenas dimensiones, es grande vamos. También algo pesada (óbviamente, tiene la resistencia, batería, etc). Pero sin ningún problema, es cómoda de transportar. El asa es suficientemente grande para agarrarla cómodamente.La taza tiene un indicador de encendido/apagado y qué está haciendo (manteniendo, calentando...) y unas pequeñas luces donde se indica la temperatura a la que hemos programado (lo explico a continuación).Se coloca el café / te o el líquido caliente, se puede cerrar con una tapa protectora (ayuda a mantener el calor) aunque a mi me ralla y lo suelo tomar sin ella. y se enciende.De acuerdo, el botón de encendido está en la parte inferior de la taza. Estamos de acuerdo que no es el mejor lugar para colocarlo (aunque luego pensando dices, ¿dónde lo pongo?). Ese botón automáticamente enciende la taza y usa el último programa que hayamos usado. Tampoco supone una gran incomodidad, es decir, con la taza recta, aprietas el botón y listo.Sin embargo, lo recomendable es usar la app que está disponible en iOS y Android. Descargar la app, vincular la taza y (proceso que se hace en 30 segundos, sin problemas) y allí podemos encender/apagar y definir los programas. Por ejemplo, por defecto hay programa para café y te (a una determinada temperatura cada uno).En mi caso, el café quemaba muchísimo y bajé un poquito la temperatura (eso va a a gusto del consumidor). Al pulsar sobre el tipo de programa, veremos como la taza automáticamente nos muestra mediante los pequeños led la temperatura.He de decir que yo no tapo la taza, pues (al menos en estos meses de calor extremo, aunque con aire acondicionado) no se ha enfriado (y tampoco tardo dos horas en tomar un café con leche). Pero se puede dejar tapado y beber abriendo un pequeño orificio de la tapa, cosa que no hago.Lo que comentaba al principio: a mi el café no me sabe a café recalentado, lo cual es un gran tema. El café se nota calentito, como me gusta.Comentar que la taza se carga colocándola en el plato. Es decir, el plato dispone de un conector USB-C y este se enchufa. Al colocar la taza sobre el plato, carga la batería. Mediante la app, podemos ver cuándo es necesario cargarla.En este punto diría que a mi me dura unos días, como todo depende del uso, temperatura del café, etc. No supone un gran problema, y para usarla, no es necesario que esté en el plato. De hecho, el plato lo tengo en la cocina y la suelo usar en el despacho.Para limpiarla, como se indica en las instrucciones, hay que llevar cuidado con la parte inferior (el botón protegido con goma no es mucho problema) pero si tiene los conectores por donde se carga, hay que ir con cuidado y a partir de aquí, un poquito de agua con el Fairy/Mistol de turno y suelo pasar la parte suave del estropajo y ya está. Como se indica, no es apta para lavavajillas.Y sí, es un capricho, caro. Estamos de acuerdo, pero creo que es ideal para casos como el mio que estás haciendo mil y una cosas. Estoy realmente encantado con ella.

Purchased it last Christmas as a gift for my boyfriend. It worked as described for about a month and the battery started failing. It was okay at first since he works from home and he could just keep the mug on the charger. After another month or so, it would not stay as hot as it used to. We don't have a thermometer at home so we don't know the exact temperature it holds, but the mug keeps it steadily at a lukewarm temperature.Now that summer is over and we had it out again, it would not turn on.TLDR: Worked as described for about a month, kept drinks lukewarm for another month. Now it doesn't turn on.
