MOST GORGEOUS MAILBOX I HAVE EVER, EVER HAD!
This mailbox, MADE IN THE USA, in the southern state of Georgia, is absolutely gorgeous. Though it's dubbed a Victorian style, I don't believe it really is, as Victorian is more elaborate and ornate. I'd maybe call it a Charleston style. I got it in black and it stands out by the road, as we're on some acreage and well off the main road, and I had one unknown-to-me woman stop by to say how pretty it is and to ask where I got it, as well as the wife of an acquaintance of my husband's told her husband it was one gorgeous mailbox, and I really think we're the envy of our suburb community. The quality is, bar none, very sturdy and well-made with quality materials. The brass numbers that are sold separately (and for which I'm not going to leave reviews because of there being too many numbers I'd need to review) are truly solid brass, of substantial weight, and are made of high quality material. They affix to the mailbox easily, and our box and post have been cemented in position maybe three months and not one letter has tarnished it, not even with the unwanted droppings of a passing bird! I'm especially happy it is made in our country, which could be why it's somewhat pricey, but it's the best mailbox we've ever purchased, in appearance and in quality, and it's money well spent.......and I'd spend it again.

The most beautiful mailbox in the area
Need a cement pad to install, but once you have tha - its a great mailbox, classic good quality, you can get numbers to attach - your house number - to avoid mailman mistakes, Very highly recommended

Better Box in black
Looks great- I had one maybe 15-20 years ago at our old house. This one looks equally sturdy. If it doesn't rain tomorrow it could be installation day.

Solid and stately
There is a review in here with great instructions. Follow that dudes instructions to the T! I did but the only thing no one seems to be able to lock down is the bolt size. First noteworthy item is the diameter for the hole is 7/16. Which is noteworthy because NO ONE HAS THAT SIZE IN THEIR STORES! so after mutlipe trips around my area I said screw it and used 1 foot long 3/8" Threaded rods. I definetly could have used 7/16th and they would have fit snug but the heck with it. The only knock I have is the flag doesn't seem operable to me. So I used the sliding flag as seen in the picture. I don't know how people screw in the flag and can raise it up and down without the screw becoming unthreaded. It doesn't look like it's even possible with me if you put the flag up to signify to the postman that there is mail you do that about ten times the screws going to completely come out there's no other way that I can figure out how to do it.

Beautiful, well-made mailbox - but be prepared to struggle with post mounting!
I almost gave this 5 stars - and, in fact, I would have were it not for one problem: it's very difficult to install this mailbox over an already installed 4" x 4" post (though the directions indicate that you can). Why? Because it gradually tapers inward as you go up inside the post. I replaced an old, plastic mailbox that slid simply over a 4" x 4" post and was initially delighted with what I thought would be an easy install of this mailbox in the same fashion. The assembly portion of this mailbox IS pretty simple, but getting it to fit over the post left much to be desired. I spent no less than two hours trying to chisel down the edges, and then taper the remaining post such that the post could slide over it. In the end, I was successful, but it was a pain in the tail to do. That said, everything else about this mailbox is fantastic. It's sturdy; well-made; and aesthetically very beautiful. The delivery was quick, and the components were all accounted for. BOTTOM LINE: If you can get past the post-mounting issues, this box should reward you with years of use and be a wonderful addition to your home. I just wish the makers could re-work the internal geometry of their post to make it more convenient for mounting. Fix that one thing and this would easily be a 5-star product on all fronts!

nice box
the bolts holding it in place did not line up with the box we replaced (broken so had to go), so that was a pain in the butt with several trips to home depot, as putting bolts into existing cement is not easy, but luckily my brother figured it out. the mail box is good, but i wish it came with bolts and a way to install it into cement that is already there for replacing mail boxes. basically i am taking the long way to say, this is not a box that comes on a long pole that needs to be buried. it sits on a cement slab with bolts coming out of the cement.

Looks great on my driveway!
Looks very good by my driveway! I forget exactly what sized holes it has (7/16 as another reviewer said perhaps?) but found 3/8 a little small to my liking so I increased the size of the holes to 1/2" and used 1/2" bolts. Setting the bolts into concrete was tricky - since my holes and bolts both were 1/2" and given the thickness of the base I had to carefully ensure the bolts were embedded perfectly perpendicular to the ground before the concrete set so that the holes would slide down the bolts easy.

Looks great, holds up!
Looks super nice. Several neighbors stopped to comment on how good it looks. The quality is really good. We have had it now for 7 years. It is still in perfect condition.

So so beautiful! I have been shopping around for 3years maybe more !! I have seen ok ones but for my home that I worked so hard to design inside and out in its entirety I just couldn't find one that would compliment my home design. Oh my Goodness as soon as I seen this photo online and read the reviews I took the leap and after discussing with the family I purchased. Now it came in two separate pkg's just so u know and don't panic like me lol.. the box came first and the post Stand 2nd. Arrived Christmas Eve!! How exiting...Best Christmas Gift Ever!!!.. It snowed all day night etc so we waited to install until today Dec 27th omg it's Georgious!! We purchased an amazing patio stone to mount it on. I will update with pics but my family and I sat and enjoyed this beautiful mailbox from dining room table while enjoying our hot coco and coffee warming up from the cold winter install. Small cons and realy just a friendly suggestion u send out a brass number but not one that matches our own so we are encouraged to buy the others this number is kinda waist of company money in my opinion and I feel bad to toss it I can return to u just tell me were. Have a wonderful 2021 Everyone and hope you enjoy your New Mailbox 📬...#StaySafe From Canada 🇨🇦 Ontario ✌🤩🇨🇦 Update Sep 25/2025...We are Still in love with Our Mailbox!!
